As many people remember, last year I took part in an election for the DC of the Wildstar division. It was brutal and it ripped the division apart. I received multiple personal attacks via the question answer portion, in game, texts, and the public forums. It sent me into a depressive spiral that I have taken a year to get over. But it has been nothing to what this night has been like. Tonight I felt vilified. Tonight, I felt that if I didn't conform that I should get out, that I shouldn't be here. I felt lesser because I hold a different opinion. We are supposed to be an open, inviting, inconclusive community, but tonight I have never felt so much like an outsider. One person in a group of 10 had the guts to speak an unpopular opinion, and I'm ashamed it was not me. One person, and s/he was shot down, his/her opinion drowned.

This is a historic election, most importantly because the last time there was so much open hatred between opposing view points the United States of America erupted into a civil war. Please, for everything that this community is supposed to stand for, do not let that happen here. You don't know why a person holds a point of view, but there is a better then average chance that it is not because they are sexist, or racist, or ______phobic.
