For those interested, We have a RP focused Server. We are on the Center, and currently have no mods. There is cannon lore for ark now, and ours is very close but exactly the same. What you need to know for character creation : You are lost at sea (or went down in a plane over the ocean). During your wreck you lost consciousness and woke up on the beach some time later with a odd device in your arm. Your character can be from anytime in history up to the current day. Your arrival in game however will be linked to the in game day (A character from the year 2015 that wakes up on day 1 will have been on the ark 9 days longer then someone from 1750 that wakes up on day 10 even though the second person went missing 1st) Server name; Remnants of ark RP PW: YumRoH Settings are 2xtame, 2xdino food consumption (4x tames total), 3hour long days 1 hour long night, 2x gather, 2x spoil time, 12x breeding time (a sheep should be able grow full in 1 in game day) Currently there are no mods

As many people remember, last year I took part in an election for the DC of the Wildstar division. It was brutal and it ripped the division apart. I received multiple personal attacks via the question answer portion, in game, texts, and the public forums. It sent me into a depressive spiral that I have taken a year to get over. But it has been nothing to what this night has been like. Tonight I felt vilified. Tonight, I felt that if I didn't conform that I should get out, that I shouldn't be here. I felt lesser because I hold a different opinion. We are supposed to be an open, inviting, inconclusive community, but tonight I have never felt so much like an outsider. One person in a group of 10 had the guts to speak an unpopular opinion, and I'm ashamed it was not me. One person, and s/he was shot down, his/her opinion drowned.
This is a historic election, most importantly because the last time there was so much open hatred between opposing view points the United States of America erupted into a civil war. Please, for everything that this community is supposed to stand for, do not let that happen here. You don't know why a person holds a point of view, but there is a better then average chance that it is not because they are sexist, or racist, or ______phobic.-

I am not sure what happened Tel, but I do know most in this community feel respectful (if not acceptance) to all points of view. Last night was a heated emotional time and really hard to judge anyone's behavior as normal. I hope the person shot down was knowing of this. Perhaps you can take this hug and pass it around today. We all need one after last night.
