RP Night - Remnants Acquisitions

Saturday, May 26th, Remnants Acquisitions regular meeting, the Tavern, Remnant Base ((the Guild Hall)), 8 PM - 10 PM Eastern. 

Act I, Scene 2, of "Strings in the Shadows."

Section Chief Metis Ashfall, standing in the shadows, waited until the last of the squad had gotten safely away from the box canyon, then transported herself to Remnant Base, her nerves in a state of high excitation.  Karen had to know as soon as possible.  This was a potential lead on a matter of long concern.  The possible implications were, honestly, more than she could fit into her head at this moment.  The meeting and the battle had gone well -- quite well, really -- but she had not expected what The Veil finally yielded up.   Truman?   How was he involved, and in what? 

As the entry waypoint took shape, Mignon stood before her, a cage of messenger birds in one hand and a sheaf of message paper in the other.  After a quick glance, she put down the cage and gave Metis the paper and a pen.   Metis looked about at a crowd of agents and others in small groups in urgent conversation.  Several gave her questioning looks.  "The Office," snapped the Centurion, porting to the Waterfall waypoint.   Mignon arrived moments later to see the Section Chief on her favorite plush carpet writing and waving the pen.  Folding the paper, Metis handed it to the Assistant Secretary with a word, "Karen."  As Mignon settled the bird and attached the message, Metis added, "She's needed here, now." 

"Is that all for now?"  Metis frowned as if trying to think a hundred thoughts at once and finally nodded.  "Yes.  Tell her I'll be here for a day or two before I have to return to the Citadel.  I'll give her a full report before that." 

"Now I need to make notes while it's fresh."

"I'll see you're not disturbed, Chief."
