  1. I have some fitness goals too! I'm really bad at working toward them though. I can be such a slacker, and laziness is probably my number one flaw. I'm interested in trying to cut back on carbs and focus more on veggies and lean proteins so basically a version of the keto diet. For proteins I'll probably try to eat mostly fish and chicken so a little bit of the Mediterranean diet thrown in there too. Anyone have any experience eating like this? Any tips or advice? My ultimate goal is to get down to 120 lbs (54.5 kg). I currently weigh 180 lbs (81.6 kg). I don't want to just lose weight though or make that my primary focus. I really just want to become fitter and healthier and feel better in my body overall. ETA: As far as exercise goes, I currently walk my dog for 20 minutes almost every day. I have a gym membership, but I rarely go because laziness. I do want to get fitter. I'm horribly out of shape. I can't run a mile. It doesn't take me long to get winded and worn out, and it makes me sad that I'm spending my so-called prime years being out of shape!

  2. At the moment, I weigh 131 kg (289 lbs) I am aiming for 125 by the end of the month. Now, I will accomplish this by doing a calorie limit diet with (I hope) a daily walking regime to get back to walking 5 km a day. Unfortunatly I am unable to do intense cardio like runnign due to my knees, and food is expensive I have however, decided to go on a sushi diet! Sushi I make myself from scratch, so I control what goes into it. Though rice is a high carb food, I will need those carbs to keep feeling full and not be tempted to eat everythign in the fridge

  4. Sorry I missed Tuesday, was doing hurricane preps with the fleet and then moving to an alternative place to live for a week. Didn't see anything on the calendar though. Are we in hiatus?

  5. There is some debate about the long term benefits of it, but I'm doing the keto diet. I don't get hungry really because of all the fats. It's great for people like me who have a lot of weight to lose and need to do it quickly. I was 350 lbs (158.8 kg) in the photo on the left. That was taken the first day of the diet (May 1). The photo on the right was the end of July. I was 310 lbs (140.6 kg). Still fat but getting there. I'm at 300 lbs (136 kg) currently. Obviously I'm not a fitness expert. At all. I try to walk at least 20 minutes 3x a week, watch carbs (it's really a modified keto), and do CICO. It's working. You can do it! I believe in you, Val!
