Heard about what happened to Notre-Dame today while at work... couldn't really believe it, but it happened. After the shock had worn off a bit, I found my own peace in what happened by a interesting line of reasoning. The works of mankind can be undone, but by the will, care, and love of one's culture and history, mankind can reforge, renew, and restore what was broken.
