that sounds awesome,  cast while channeling seems pretty good. i'm starting to wonder if i can use that for volitile dead, detonate dead, and desecrate. that would be pretty sweet, flame dash into a crowd and spin to win while everything explodes. also, that build sounds cool for freezing staged bosses

It works amazingly for maps and bosses...

Heists...I get insta gibbed at the doors so far. I need to work flame dash in somehow...will need to price unset rings, unfortunately to keep my stats I will need to spend 1-2 ex at least per ring.

  2. I am running Soulwrest Phantasms. Using Cyclone with cast on channeling to use desecrate and flesh offering to spawn and consume corpses. The devouring diadem to heal me and also consume corpses. I have twenty little ghosts, an animate guardian, 3 buffing spectres, and a golem. The build converts 75% of my damage to cold. It is super strong especially against bosses.

  3. I really enjoyed it. I got around 20 challenges and got burned out. I love the new Atlas system, but wish it was explained better. Elder Scrolls Online and Horizon:Zero Dawn drew me away for now, but I will likely come back in the last month and burn out the last 4 challenges I need for the 24 challenge MTX.

  4. I am actually making a comeback to D2 on PC. I am going to get Shadowbringers and pre-load it this weekend, then just need to pick up Forsaken when it comes available on Steam. I am debating if I jump immediately back in with my Hunter I played during Curse of Osiris, or start a new character.

I will likely start a new character to get the feel for things again, but I had so much fun stuff on my hunter. Not sure if I should stick Hunter or go Warlock or Titan.

  5. I am having a very similar experience with my Undead Warlock. I played Alliance in vanilla, and didnt switch over to Horde until mid Burning Crusade. It is neat seeing some of the story that I missed out on in Vanilla, since when I did level Horde I just rushed to level cap to pvp.

I've decided to get deeper into this game now that Legion is out. I've been keeping tabs on the game so far and have found quite a few helpful resources for beginners like me. I'm hoping to be able to create a great character and be able to go far with it my first time out. I'd love it if there was a guild that I could join in-game and would be able to help me nail down the finer points of the game mechanics. Does RoH have a guild presence or should I just look for some other guild?

We do have a guild, but it is pretty much only me that I have seen logged in recently. Not sure if I just need to get people invited or people left over time. I know some people moved on to different guilds.

  7. Almost to level 60 and in Act 7 right now. This league is the most fun league since Breach or Abyss in my opinion. I decided to go with Holy Flame Totem Hierophant in order to avoid the prices for melee equipment and so far I have been having a blast with the skill. What is everyone playing?

Despite knowing better, I'm feeling the hype hard for this league! Loving all the melee focused changes.

This league is 100 percent legit, great so far. Love the mechanic.

I'm pretty much decided on scorching ray for this league.  since it looks like you always spawn in the middle of the battle, being able to tag everything you need with a single pass seems...broken.

Now I just need to look up a good build for it.  but @Lagerfueled, 4 curse bane occ is what I played in synth...absolutely a blast to play.

    my build was this:

      Hide contents

uniques:  Vixen's Entrapment, Cane of Unravelling

    gem links:

[bane, despair] and [soulrend, energy leech] get swapped between the two six-links.

[void manip, efficacy, controlled destruction, empower] in the staff.

[void manip, efficacy, controlled destruction, swift affliction] in the chest.

bane in the staff for maps, SR in the staff for bosses.

[Enfeeble, temp chains, poacher's mark, portal gem] in the vixen's entrapment gloves, so that you get 4 curses with every bane cast: 1 naturally, 1 from vixens, 1 from passive tree, 1 from occ ascendancy.  links dont matter here.

[Enlighten, Discipline, Malevolence, Purity of Elements] in either boots or helm.  I prefer purity over clarity since I never had MP regen issues, but I also prioritized mp regen for gear.  make sure to pick up the reduced mana reserved nodes in case you cant get your hands on an enlighten gem.

if you want a movement skill then leap slam is probably the way to go, but I had a ton of movespeed so I didnt think it was necessary and used my other 4 slot to level backup gems of bane, soulrend, discipline, and purity just in case I bricked one with a vaal orb.

    lvl 70 tree:

      Reveal hidden contents

    image.thumb.png.ea86daa97b54030c56154b044adabd13.png

node priority:  Growth and Decay, Atrophy, Unnatural Calm, Corruption, Hex Master.

    lvl. 90 tree:

      Reveal hidden contents

    image.thumb.png.499e537c219a4ad61243928f7158b176.png

remember, if you are using purity instead of clarity, increasing the effect of your auras gives both ES and ele res.  with a lvl 20 purity gem and this tree, you are looking at about 42% all res from that aura.

I am playing Whispering Ice CWC Winter's Orb currently in flashback. Super fun, but it is a pain til you get enough Energy shield and intelligence to get over the leech threshold.

  10. I am going to no life this league I have a feeling. I will likely go with a spell build since they will be cheaper due to the melee rework, either a Bane/Soulrend Occultist, Whispering Ice CWC Winter Orb Occultist, Winter Orb Elementalist, or Blade Vortex Elementalist. I might also do lightning Traps again, but we will see, too squishy for my tastes.

  11. I have been playing TD1 lately, quite a bit. It runs a lot smoother on my PC and I want to get the shields that you can earn in TD2. However, I find, I really enjoy the snowy atmosphere and the city in New York a lot more than TD2's setting in Washington DC. The environmental storytelling with the drones, found footage, phones, etc also seems much better to me. The storyline in TD1 also is better and so are the main characters you interact with.

TD2 is much better gameplay wise, skills wise, guns wise, loot wise, and exploration wise, but I find myself enjoying the setting and minute to minute gameplay much more in TD1. Your thoughts? I do think TD2 will catch up over time, but it runs significantly worse and looks worse on my PC than TD1 for me as well. I find myself wanting to play TD1 more than TD2 these days.

  12. My laptop is still barely able to play the game for some reason, after running more or less fine in the beta. I will likely be playing The Division 1 and other games until I get my new PC sometime in the next month or two, unless UBISoft manages to patch whatever is causing my sudden issues.
