I just have to vent somewhere as my poor wife has been having to hear it over and over this week. I teach high school English, and I'm at a school in an area that is not really mask observant. The school where I teach has a population of just over 1300 students. We are requiring students to wear masks but have no way to enforce it; there will be many without masks and others with masks under their chins. My classroom is about 600 sq. ft. with essentially no ventilation. One of my classes is currently 36 students. We just received our finalized teaching assignments today; the first day of school is tomorrow. There is no plan to social distance between class changes. I have to be in a non-ventilated bathroom with students during one assigned class change to remind them to wash their hands. I've been putting in 50 hour weeks with my department this summer to build a remote curriculum, and our superintendent doesn't seem like she will activate it unless we have an alarming outbreak. I could keep going on, but, honestly, I'm just exhausted and we are just getting started. Thanks if you read this far, and thank you to all those who have already been plugging away on the frontlines of this thing since the start.

I feel your pain, and as a fellow teacher, i 100% understand how scared, and angry, you must feel for your students' sake and yourself.
My school is far from coming back, and my state is currently on a downward trend when it comes to the virus, but we're still waiting until September just to be sure. I wish you the best in the coming weeks and hope it doesn't go bad. If you need to vent more, send me a PM, we can chat.

Four years in [HOPE], and although I've mostly drifted away from gaming... Some of my fondest memories are here, rebuilding a dying GW2 Division and then, a year or so later, seeing it through the transition into post-Path of Fire mechanics.
It's still a joy to see the guild thriving and so many familiar faces still committing time and love. @Exoniensis and @Sim the Ineluctable - you two were some of the first people I ever recruited way back in 2014 and you remain cornerstones of the guild. @Shant you pulled me back into the guild in 2015 and were my closest confidant and friend during my second run as DC. @Silver Still remember the day you joined, and while we've had our drama... I feel in some ways that I've watched you grow up into a fantastic guildy and human being. You love [HOPE] as much as I do.
@Kenji so happy someone in my real life is around to keep me remembering this wonderful place that was a second home and a haven for me during the tumultuous end of my marriage and upheaval of my life. RoH got me through it and then some.

The market for mid-range GPU's has inflated like the market is about to collapse.
In February/March timeframe:- GTX 1060 6 GB cards were selling for ~$250-$400.
- GTX 1070 8 GB cards were selling for ~$350-$450.
- GTX 1080 8 GB cards were selling for ~$600-$800.
Now:
- GTX 1060 6 GB cards are selling for ~$300-$800
- GTX 1070 8 GB cards are selling for ~$500-$900
- GTX 1080 8 GB cards are selling for ~$550-$1000
I read up on a few forums and reddit, and I guess a lot of the 1060's and RX 480/580's got bought up by "miners" (data miners?) . This reduced the supply for those mid-range cards so now people are paying more for them. This has made it easier to inflate the higher tiers too, such as the 1070's and 1080's.
Here's to hoping that I'll be able to buy a new graphics card by Christmas.

Our journalists managed to get a transcript of the conversation between Xenu and an agent codenamed "Littlestar" that proves that the High Elder of Remnants of Hope is actually part of, and may be, the Grand Wizard of the Klan in Washington, DC. Here is the partial transcript:
"I want it known that i am"... "a Klan member. Dammit, Littlestart"! - HighOverlordXenu, 2017.
The "anonymous source" provided more context in which Xenu goes at length in the cut part of the transcript where they explain how Xenu rose to power in the Klan and became "the first ever Grand Wizard with an Asian sister".
