    Veteran Halls of Fabrication

Saturday, December 7th at 2:00 PM EST

Whoa, whoa, WHOA... can it be? THE PINNACLE FACTOTUM met his end at the hands of the REMNANTS?

    Screenshot_20191012_134318.png.b019fe92e7ddc756e4c334f7d67b9e09.thumb.png.c3fa6c1a934005e46169a4ca630c8aaa.png

Yikes... who knew victory would be so... messy? Is there a janitor or custodian who can come clean this crap up or some--wait, what?

    Screenshot_20191012_155059.png.94421895f6f19d88d76538464dca8e84.thumb.png.470fccddd1c95144f4e3474ba80f8636.png

    boom.

Yep, that's right... the Pinnacle Factotum AND the Archcustodian ATE IT on our last vHOF run over a month ago.

Everyone put in the effort and we made it happen! Now, after several weeks of doing other shenanigans and adjusting to the most recent DPS patch, it is time to return to vHOF and see if we can wipe away the rust and regain our momentum that we so earnestly worked for!

If you haven't done so already, PLEASE indicate that you're available on the Availability spreadsheet if you would like to run this week! The roster will be posted tomorrow morning.

    Requirements

-Read this post and /sign the thread, indicating you agree to this event's guidelines-

The Morrowind Chapter of ESO, as the trial is in Vvardenfell

    Appropriate food/drink and potions

Full sets of purple/gold gear (Two 5-piece + monster set or intentional partial sets)

Raid Notifier and Team Formation add-ons

    For DPS:

25K DPS parse on a 3 mil dummy (available at @PWiddy's primary residence)

    18K+ health with food/drink buff

Take a screenshot of your dummy parse and get in touch with @PWiddy or @Arcadian

    For healers:

    CP 810

The Energy Orb morph of Necrotic Orb

A purge ability that can purge the group & Purge Tracker add-on

    18K+ health with food/drink buff

At least a couple of set options available (including monster sets)

e.g. Olorime, Sanctuary, Mending, IA, Worm Cult, Jorvuld, etc.

    For tanks:

    CP 810

    A purge ability

At least one crusher enchanted weapon (preferably 2H, bow, staff in infused)

At least a couple of set options available (including monster sets)

e.g. Ebon, Alkosh, Torug's Pact, Plague Doctor, Yolnahkriin, etc.

    Also!

    • As this is one of the more challenging trials, the requirements are on the more stringent side. Being less than CP 810 severely impacts one's ability to survive in content like vHoF... this has nothing to do with skill and instead has to do with the passive damage mitigation a player gets from CP.
    • If you sign up as a support role, we'll likely be reaching out to you in order to coordinate the sets the tanks and healers will be wearing for maximum effect
    • If you have any questions about DPS requirements, contact @PWiddy or @Arcadian
    • Questions about healing requirements should be directed to @Telana
    • Reach out to @orbitoclast with any questions about tanking requirements
    • Roster will be posted on Wednesday

  4. @orbitoclast @Elisel @Arcadian @Icy @Maezar @Calypso589 @TMUMT Sorry y'all, we're going to have to cancel this week's event since there is such low availability, likely due to the upcoming holiday shenanigans. Since next week is Thanksgiving weekend, there will be no DBDL run as well. December 7 will be our next scheduled run!

    For those celebrating:

I signed up as backup.  I thought that meant that if roster is full, I'll be backup.  If not full, I'll join the roster.

What else does backup mean?  🙂

You are correct! That is how I intended "Backup" to work - I am just a n00blet 😛  My brain wasn't working apparently, lol.

    I blame @orbitoclast

    ---

Switched @Felipe to tank to replace @Calypso589, and added @Simralin as DPS.

Still need 2 DPS for a full raid roster!

    Asylum Sanctorium + 0 | + 1

Saturday, November 9th at 2:00 PM EST

Hi, Deather Chickens! As those of you who may recall, our run last week did not happen due to low availability. We hope this week will be different, as it's time to venture into the depths of Asylum Sanctorium Veteran +0 and +1. But wait, what ever happened to vHOF? Glad you asked! Unfortunately, 3 out of the 4 progression raid leaders ( @orbitoclast @Arcadian and myself) will be absent next weekend, which means we will already be scraping by to form a full raid roster. In addition, Thanksgiving weekend will likely be a no go for many of us, as we'll be spending time with friends and family for the holiday. With all this in mind, we think it's best to not go for vHOF until we can form a full raid roster consistently week to week. Instead, we will try our hand at something that many of us have not attempted before. Asylum Sanctorium +0 and +1 (maybe try our hand at +2 if things go well ;) ). Make no mistake, though... we'll be back to the Halls of Fabrication sooner or later and we will HAVE OUR VENGEANCE!

Let myself, @Arcadian, @PWiddy, or @orbitoclast know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!

    -Progression Spreadsheet-

Hello, fellow seekers of misery, chaos, and glory! I come before you today to introduce the Progression Spreadsheet, which can be found in the link above. This spreadsheet will be used by the Raiders of DBDL to track raid-ready toons. This spreadsheet will be especially helpful when figuring out raid compositions for our weekly three-hour descent into progressive madness that is scheduled for every Saturday at 2PM EST. We are going back to our traditional signup method for determining weekly raid rosters. Once the raid for that week is posted, raiders will be able to sign up on the thread itself, listing their "raid-ready" toons as appropriate. Since we have more raiders than slots available, we will adopt a similar "Bump/Protected" system that is used by the PvE Department to keep things as fair as possible.

So how will event scheduling work for DbDL?

    • Players will follow the above link to the spreadsheet, find their name and input their character information and gear into the appropriate columns. Please note, there are only TWO character rows available per player. This is intentional, as we want you to be bring your most experienced, optimized and progression-ready characters that meet our stringent tank, healer and DPS requirements. This will also ensure character/role proficiency for players to maximize raid performance. NOTE: Since there are far more DPS slots available for any given raid than the other two roles, we would highly recommend listing a progression-ready DPS character to act as a reliable alternate. If you only list Tank and/or Healer as your available roles, you will have a higher chance of getting rotated out week to week, depending on availability and necessary group composition. Also, the nontraditional "support" role will not be included in the list of roles since what constitutes as support may vary from situation to situation. The need of a "support" role will be determined and assigned on a case-by-case basis.
    • Once the raid post has been made for the upcoming week, raiders will be able to sign up on the thread itself, listing their "raid-ready" toons as appropriate.
    • When composing groups week to week, we will try our best to accommodate EVERYONE that is willing, raid-ready and available. Please remember that progression raiding has its many nuances and intricacies, which will sometimes necessitate the best possible group composition. This will inherently give us the best chance for success, depending on the trial and its varying factors and mechanics. If you are not scheduled, keep in mind that there are many opportunities within the amazing ESO PvE Department to acquire gear, stay sharp, continue to practice and gain experience in Trial content. Note: We do review and discuss player/role vetting internally and WILL make adjustments to our stringent tank, healer and DPS requirements as needed.
    • It will also be your responsibility to keep your character information (stats, gear, etc) updated on a weekly basis. Failure to do so may hinder your participation in future DbDL runs.

Thanks! If you have any questions, please let us know!

  12. For those who were not present in our previous run of vHoF - please take note below:  @Xilanxiv @Adamant_Unicorn

Hey y'all! As we mentally prepare ourselves for another go at vHOF, there is one thing we are going to start doing and incorporating into every boss fight going forward: emphasis on our positioning and movement. Now I know this may be difficult for our DPS who like to constantly be on the move while they’re DPS’ing…but I’m going to politely ask y’all to cut that out. We are not chickens with our heads cut off. One thing you’ll notice in videos of progression groups running these harder trials is their emphasis on DPS (and sometimes healers) being stationary (either on their own or stacked as a group) with the exception of three possible scenarios: 1) Getting out of an AOE, 2) Adjusting positioning to wherever the boss and/or tank goes or 3) If they need to activate/interrupt a mechanic that is part of the boss fight. The purpose of this strategy is to minimize unnecessary damage and to move with purpose, reacting to boss mechanics and the environment in a concentrated and astute fashion, rather than moving just to move. This will take a lot of practice and getting used to, so I’m not going to hound y’all too much if I think your positioning is off or if I think you are being a headless chicken. But it is something that will make these encounters go a lot smoother if we can get really good at it.

Here are some great visual examples of groups exercising this strategy:

    On their own:

Outside of Battlegrounds, you must have an Ebonheart Pact character level 10+ to participate. Discord is required for listening purposes.

  18. Apologies all! It’s taking a lot longer than I anticipated for Xfinity to come out and setup our internet...  :( hopefully they’ll be able to come over sometime tomorrow and get it all squared away. *crosses fingers*  I was unable to get someone to cover, so unfortunately this week’s late night PvP event is cancelled.

Edit: I guess @DaveRoH is leading the charge. Thank you!! ❤️
