8 days until Kenobi.

Hi folks. In this new year I am hoping to do better here in the guild. Last year was a mess, and the year before was even more horrendous. This year needs to be better. Let us all do this.

I am preparing to set a schedule for my streaming. I also have a discord channel of my own. I will be logging in to SWTOR on Tuesdays and Thursdays only until I get a replacement desktop. Hopefully everything works out like this.

Fighting with EA/BioWare over my only republic guilded character, Talons Pryde. I cannot log in to that character and they are insisting that it is the launcher's fault. All my other characters I can get in to without a problem. Only this one I cannot.

Maybe they will figure it out soon.

Sorry all. I was in a major smash up on the 8th and I have been slowly getting back into normal life as best as I can. Had a major loss of income, lost my car, may have been permanently banned from driving for Lyft, and am dealing with an aging body that cannot take the punishment as well as before.

I am losing my mind. Do not worry, though. I will find it eventually.

Today, I was talking with the guild when I had a BSoD. 

I have made a decision. At the end of this year, I am going to sever my Facebook account and only be using the Messenger app on my phone. I have thought about this hard and have come to the conclusion that this platform is becoming more and more unfriendly to the average user. Over the past 2 years, I have had to jump through the hoops on 4 separate occasions to either confirm my account, reinstate it, or verify it as a real person and not a bot program. I have been suspended for sharing articles, pics, statuses, and personal thoughts across the spectrum of subjects. I have been reported as inciting violence, for running a, and I quote, “a page dedicated to the oppression of an ethnic or marginal group”, and for engaging in spam postings with a single daily post. I have had my identity challenged more times than I can count. I have for the last few months been disconnecting Facebook from all outside sites. As much as this saddens me, and I will lose an important character page in the process, I must detach myself from this toxic and often arbitrarily enforced terms of service. Too often Facebook has slapped me for a violation that other pages I have reported are cleared as being not in violation. One in particular was the “Death to all Witches” page that outright called for total elimination of atheists, witches, and non-christians. When I reported them, Facebook replied that the page, with graphic descriptions of how to find and kill, was NOT in violation of the Terms of Service. Conversely, I made a post that called them out with the encouragement of defending against such things through peaceful means if possible and if not possible, with forceable defense. MY post was deemed as in violation for inciting violence. When I appealed citing the previous decision, Facebook reiterated that they were not in violation and I was. This was 3 years ago and was the start of the harassing reports and arbitrary enforcement as I could experience. The final straw was November. I made a post, like I always did, once a day citing the history of things that happened, and Facebook immediately banned the post for being SPAM. I appealed, and to this date, the post has yet to be reinstated or any reply given. However, the appeal was closed after 3 weeks of waiting. When I tried to contact them in Twitter, I was not only ignored, I was temporarily blocked. The reason? I was deemed a bot. I had to go through the mess of proving my identity to Facebook to lift the block and release the suspension here. All because I made a complaint about the preferential treatment of certain pages even when those pages were in obvious violation. I am done. The reason I am waiting until the end of the year is to ensure I have my archive from here complete. I LOVE THE BLOG!!!!

My Facebook account has been disabled with no real explanation. I have put in a report but have not even received an acknowledgement of them (did 6). The splash page says fraudulent identification. No idea when I will be getting it back up. My messenger still works on my phone for now. If any of you follow me, let me know what you are seeing.

Sorry for the 2 week absence. Had some real life garbage to deal with.

Talons: <restarts computer and sees all of his drives are re-lettered except the boot drive> ??????? <tries to access the drive manager> ??!!??? <reboots again -- drives fixed except for the one critical one> 

At this point, I basically grumbled for an hour trying to figure out what happened. In the end, I had to reinstall Windows and lost all of my GUI settings for SWTOR. Everything needs to be reinstalled and I am working on it. One question is the TS channel. I had my TS auto sync but am not sure if the channels are saved or not. Just in case, could I get the channel name? Also, Discord no longer installs at all. Kernel32.dll is unfound. I do wonder if the restore point is a file to save in the clouds like Bespin.
