I like the idea of reading a book as a group. I've read the Lord of the Rings books a couple times and not really up for reading them again at the moment (my mood is better fitted by a sci-fi or modern universe right now). Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series is great and I'm looking forward to the next book, I think there are 15 in the series now. I have a few older authors I could include in the list, but their styles or content can be jarring for some people. All works by PKD are interesting, but his style and the anachronisms of when he wrote make them hard to read for some. Similar with the Robert E. Howard and his works, they are amazing reads, but there are some things in them like racism, sexism, and some sexual assault that make his works hard to read, or reread in my case, as they were written in the 1930's. I'd still recommend people read them, but I don't think they would work for group reads.

Haven't heard of it, but sounds interesting. Added it to my Amazon wish list.

It started kind of slow, but is picking up. Same thing happened with the Dresden Files books, first was slower, then the main story kicks off and gets amazing. Thanks! Looking forward to reading more.
