Hi, folks! We're switching things up a little bit... we're going to be using a DISCORD SERVER to be managing sign-ups from now on to see if that might improve visibility. Some folks have said that they don't sign on to the forums very often and would prefer to use Discord for signups and notifications. AS SUCH... that's what we'll be doing.

We are DOING AWAY with the spreadsheet signups. After deciding that they're perhaps more trouble than they're worth, we're switching back to people posting whether or not they can make it in this here thread... there won't be a separate post for this run. Keep in mind that it may not necessarily be first come, first served although, with turnout being what it has been... that will likely be the case.  ALSO... if you run multiple roles, you may not be immediately slotted on the roster to take advantage of your much appreciated flexibility.  

We did an excellent job in the Halls last week, getting all the way to the Committee within the actual three-hour event... we even got in a couple of stabs at the group, getting two of them down to 69% (...nice). Should we end up back there this week, please take a moment to review the guides Telana and I put together for the Committee and for the Assembly General, the LAST BOSS of vHoF.

That said, do we need a brief reprieve from the Halls? We were unable to decide, so we thought we'd see which robots people are up for slapping around this weekend... the fabricants in veteran Halls of Fabrication or the Saintbots of veteran Asylum Sanctorium +1? The results of the poll will be revealed as soon as there's a clear winner OR... that morning. Hooray, surprise robotocide!

Veteran Halls of Fabrication

After being completely foiled last session by Discord dropping a big ol' deuce right as we were getting started, we're heading back this weekend to remind a certain set of fabricants that their time in Tamriel is finite... well, at least till the trial's over and they re-spawn. BUT THEY DON'T NEED TO KNOW THAT... or maybe it would be better if they did? Knowing that their death isn't permanent might lower the stakes enough for them to be lulled into complacency... hm. 

Loremaster @Icy!! Any thoughts on the existential crises and resultant existential malaise faced by our Fabricant foes and how they may be used to our advantage? kthx!  

Mind/circuitry games aside, we might be a little rusty since it's been a minute since we've really run the trial. Despite this, I'm confident we can build on our previous successes and, at the very least, smash the Pinnacle Factotum to bits.

REMNANTS! Come out to PLAYYYY...

I noticed there's some of you folks in our interest group who haven't yet read and signed the guidelines and/or included your info on the spreadsheet as per Telana's post. You should look into it and come join us! If you feel like you're not ready for the endgame content we've been running, you should still consider signing up as backup! While we try to keep rosters at least semi-consistent so it's mostly composed of folks who know the mechanics to keep everyone's lives easier, there's times we don't fill and we end up cancelling. Recently, we asked someone to run vAS with us who felt they weren't ready for it and we sailed through it twice... we didn't even wipe the second go-round!

Every run is a learning experience for those involved, whether it's their first time or if they've breezed on through before. We have no problem explaining mechanics to those who need or want it and, as explained in the guidelines (and implied in the name of the event), deaths are to be expected. 

You're no longer going to be included in the main post tags so that you're not assailed by notifications for events you may not even be interested in. I'm tagging you folks here instead and you'll be added to the main group tag if you'd like to come and play.

Hi, friends! While the US prepares to celebrate its Thanksgiving holiday next weekend, some of us are not! For those of us who don't celebrate, those of us who don't have family we're going to celebrate with, or perhaps even some of us who will just need a break from the festivities, I wanted to conduct a poll to see if people are interested in running an event anyway. If we can get a group of 12 together, cool! We can do a raid! If there's less, we can figure something else out.

Sorry, got a little excited there... anyway, special thank you to @jermz1804 for jumping in to fill a DPS role and telling us what's what and @Circe for letting us drag her into the Asylum against her will. Two successful runs, the second wayyyyy smoother than the first. Excellent job! (Logs for run one and run two!)

There will be no official unofficial event this week as three of the leaders (myself, @Telana, and @Arcadian) will be out of town along with some other guildies (like @TMUMT!). Please fill out the spreadsheet with your availability anyway if you're interested in coordinating an event during the timeslot without us! Even if you can't get 12 folks together, vDSA and vBRP are challenges worthy of the DBDL moniker, along with countless vet dungeon achievements. 

We'll hopefully be able to get something together for next Saturday, the 22nd, before likely taking another week off for American Thanksgiving. If there's enough interest that weekend, I'd be more than happy to run something.

Hi, Deathers! As those of you who were there last session may recall, our run was beset by technical difficulties and emergent real life stuff. Special thanks to @jermz1804 and @Adamant_Unicorn who subbed in while people dealt with stuff! We nailed the second boss and got a couple of attempts at the third boss before having to stop. Unfortunately, the fates conspired against us and we were unable to make it to the fourth boss. I know that had we been able to nail down a solid three hour run it would have been very different. Everyone did excellent, especially considering the frustrating circumstances. 

That said, as many of you are already aware, there are massive DPS changes (again) coming with the patch that drops on the 21st. Overall DPS numbers are expected to drop significantly due to DoTs being nerfed as well as sustain becoming way more challenging. As such, we're going to take a li'l break from vHoF to see where we are in terms of performance and get our bearings. We've decided we're heading to vAA HM, something RoH's conquered before in official events, and vHRC HM, something I don't think has been done by the guild before! 

If people are feeling good about how this upcoming week's performance shakes out, we can certainly head back to the Halls the following week; we can also decide to do something else entirely if we feel that we're not quite up to that challenge yet.

Make no mistake, though... we'll be back to the Halls of Fabrication sooner or later and we will KILL EVERYTHING.

Familiarize yourselves with these two fights as much as you can and we can devote less time to explaining and more time punting fabricants into Oblivion! 

Seeing as we're pretty much the GOAT, we should also review strats for the last boss, the Assembly General. Here's Asian God's video:

As he mentions in the beginning of the video, they're actually doing hard mode here. We won't be attempting hard mode... this time.  The mechanics are pretty much the same in both modes; hard mode has some extra adds and everything hits harder and has more health.

Watching the video, you'll notice that the fight is WAY less mechanic heavy than the fourth bosses: it's the same deal over and over until a stationary execute phase. 

Just as for the Refabrication Committee, we'll be banging out a written guide to help us out. I hope you're all excited... the light at the end of the tunnel's coming at us fast.  

DEAREST FELLOW DEATHERS... I have a video for all of us! It explains the insane mechanics of our new quarry, the Committee. 

We're also writing a guide based on the videos we've watched for those of you who learn better through reading, although I think everyone can benefit from seeing the fight in motion. 

Take heed, as there are many, many ways for us to die in this encounter. The positive? If we got this... we super got the final boss.

For some reason, the clear of the third boss has to be clicked on specifically under the drop-down menu for that fight. If you just look at "all clears," the log has a random add pull that occurred after the boss as the "clear." Make sure the top left corner reads "Archcustodian Veteran, Kill (3:58)" and not "Dissector Veteran, Last Pull - Wipe 20 (0:22)."

Whoa, whoa, WHOA... can it be? THE PINNACLE FACTOTUM met his end at the hands of the REMNANTS? 

Yikes... who knew victory would be so... messy? Is there a janitor or custodian who can come clean this crap up or some--wait, what?

Yep, that's right... the Pinnacle Factotum AND the Archcustodian ATE IT on our last run.

Everyone put in the effort and we made it happen! The Pinnacle Factotum clear was messy as hell and we stayed almost an hour over to knock down the Archcustodian but we DID IT. Even better, it seems as though we developed a solid strategy for the Archcustodian! AMAZING WORK. 

In light of the amount of progress the group made last session, to preserve momentum and minimize time spent explaining mechanics in the interest of barreling toward a clear, those that attended the 10/12 session will be prioritized for this upcoming run. If you did not attend but still want to come, PLEASE indicate that you're available on Telana's spreadsheet; not everyone who attended last week will be able to attend this week!

Hi, everyone! A couple of things:

• Sign-ups are working a little differently now, as Telana posted in the forum. Please fill out your characters on this spreadsheet and put whether or not you are available for this week's run by TUESDAY at 11:59pm in order to facilitate having the roster up in a timely fashion. I'm going to be locking this thread just to make sure that folks are redirected to the spreadsheet to sign up.  
• In order to make sure that we take advantage of the full three hours, please be on time for the raid. If you're not present at 2pm, we will begin to look for a fill. If you show up before we find one, you're more than welcome to join! We'd just like to make the most of the time we have allotted.
• In that same vein, we're going to be changing the end of the event; we'll no longer be having an open discussion about performance. Instead, the organizers of the event (myself, @Telana, @PWiddy, @Icy, and @Arcadian) will discuss performance and strategy; afterward, we'll be making a post outlining our thoughts on the run. We may be reaching out to you individually if there's something we'd like to address. If you have any questions about your performance or strategies, please let us know!
