  1. @witchboltsI still had the same problem, but I switched to Firefox and it worked. I guess NaNoWriMo doesn't like Chrome. lol
  2. I'm going to join in. Been needing encouragement, and would love to be involved. I created an account and project, but can't seem to enter the cabin page. It says "Loading..." but never loads. Am i missing something? PS: My username is mithodris.
  3. Howdy. Well, I have started a new book, then put it aside, started another, then put it aside. I've been struggling for months to find my inspiration, but with all that has been happening I've been totally distracted for quite a while. But I'm hoping this latest light to go off in my head might be the one. I found myself wanting to do something with pirates. Not precisely pirates in the traditional sense, but something else. I've spent the last couple of months creating a new world setting for what I am planning to be a new fantasy series. I haven't actually started working on the story as yet. I've been focusing on world creation, background, geography, weather, political systems, factions, etc. And I think I've got something that might turn out to be quite and interesting setting for a series of novels. I've not shared much with anyone yet, only one fellow author who I co-wrote with at one time. But I would love to start getting feedback on what I have created. I have no real title in mind, except for perhaps a series title. I've settled on the series name of "On Ancient Shores". Here is my map.
  4. Remembering my Mother and my Father on this Memorial Day. Though they were divorced when I was quite young, they both still managed to be an influence in my life.

  6. I started writing a monthly episodic serial that will be ongoing on my website and free to read. http://tomfallwell.com/stormguard/
  7. I'm up to 29K words so far on my new novel. Here's a couple of character cards I made for the MC and her companion. Charyelle was hired by Niman as a bodyguard. lol
  8. I'm generally free for a write-in weekday mornings, unless something else comes up. I could possibly do other times, but couldn't commit to anything regular. Sometimes I may be able to join in, other times not.
  9. I didn't see this on the list, so thought I'd throw it out there. Grammarly (has a free version) is quite helpful to me in keeping my spelling and prose in check. Even so, I still use a pro editor before publishing, but Grammarly has been very helpful to me. I use the free version. You can find it here: https://www.grammarly.com/
  10. Hi all. Sorry for being absent a bit, but working on my new book. I've never used NaNoWriMo, but I have particpated (in the past) in writing sessions with other authors, where we compare word counts at the end. I generally try to write a thousand or so words a day, though don't always achieve that. I am more of a panster than a plotter, though I do try and generalize a plot before I start writing the story, but it inevitably changes while I'm writing. lol
  11. I've been using a great resource for authors to share and promote each other's works, called StoryOrigin. It's been a great tool for building up my mailing list. Here is the link: https://storyoriginapp.com/
  12. I just recently started working on my 7th novel, and the 4th in a my Rangers of Laerean series, an epic fantasy series. I haven't decided on a title, as yet, but the story takes place almost 10 years after the initial trilogy that I wrote. The MC of this tale is a bounty hunter named Charyelle. I just started, so have not written much yet. About 5K words so far. I'm with @KalianVan. I have dozens of story ideas, some I started to write, but drifted off to something else. I go where the muse directs. lol
  13. Sorry, haven't been playing lately and do not have a toon at 30. I'll try and catch up later.
  14. Sorry, but have been extremely busy in June and didn't get much more accomplished in LOTRO. I do have a higher level character but none around level 30. It will be a bit before I can get up there, but don't wait for me. I will join in when I can.Things are beginning to settle again, and I will be working to level some more.
  15. Maybe a tad better, but I don't think the graphics engine can do any better, to be honest. Regardless of 32 or 64 bit. It's an OLD engine. lol
  16. 64 bit doesn't seem to improve performance any for me. Still lots of hitching in Bree.
  17. My Beorning, Acurbar, will be level 20 by then. Made 19 today and almost halfway to 20.
  18. If I can make a suggestion. Wielders of Arantha: Pawns is the first book of a scifi/fantasy trilogy that I think is an awesome tale. It is free with Kindle Unlimited, or only $2.99 for the eBook on Amazon. Patrick Hodges is not a famous author, but his work is extremely good. Just a suggestion. https://www.amazon.com/Pawns-Wielders-Arantha-Book-1-ebook/dp/B06XSVGV86/
  19. Ah. Interesting. I've never read any of his work. Sounds like a good suggestion.
  20. The 2nd is good if evening. Can't do morning or afternoon.
  21. What genre is that? Afraid I;m not familiar with the author.
  22. Well, now that things are once again settling down, I've created a new book trailer for my newest book and first scifi novel that is coming out June 22, 2019. This is the book trailer for Heart of the Valkyrie, which is now available for pre-order. :)
