There is some debate about the long term benefits of it, but I'm doing the keto diet. I don't get hungry really because of all the fats. It's great for people like me who have a lot of weight to lose and need to do it quickly. I was 350 lbs (158.8 kg) in the photo on the left. That was taken the first day of the diet (May 1). The photo on the right was the end of July. I was 310 lbs (140.6 kg). Still fat but getting there. I'm at 300 lbs (136 kg) currently.
Obviously I'm not a fitness expert. At all. I try to walk at least 20 minutes 3x a week, watch carbs (it's really a modified keto), and do CICO. It's working.
