  4. I’ll join in! I need motivation and encouragement. My biggest downfall is being a night snacker. (Maybe my beer drinking too but I’m not letting that go ) I work a physically exhausting job and have no will power to do anything else afterwards or even before since I have to clock in by 7:30am.

  14. Exactly! Back in 2015 was when I had my big weight loss, but then I got lazy. Haven’t gained more than 5 Lbs of it back but I certainly do not feel as fantastic as I did then. Hitting me right in the feels there, Dude. Best of luck to you! I think the cutting back on the drinking thing will absolutely be the hardest for me. It’s such a coping mechanism that I’ve relied on too closely.
  15. @Eisen Wor'sha Ughhhh I hit 30 last summer Biking to work sounds fun but I live in very rural Louisiana. I take backroads to and from work haha. Honestly, my boss loves triathlons. I’m super jealous and would love to have her motivation. Baby steps... hence my thought of going ahead and signing up for a 5k for spring. I absolutely love nature so I’ve been looking up different places I could do my runs that aren’t busy but also not secluded enough that I wouldn’t feel safe as a solo female (high crime rate in my area). I did go for a run yesterday and actually had a cute loose mutt join me for half of it. Chose my parent’s neighborhood since it’s quite large so I could experience different environments more so than the same street over and over.
  16. @mouseymigration Oh thanks for the resource! I can quit the junk food but my downfall is beer. I drink waaay too much. I’m going to limit my beer days to Friday and Saturday though with the occasional exception for those extra I-want-to-watch-the-world-burn days
  17. High intensity interval workout. There are a ton online. About a year ago, I purchased one from VShred that I’ll be following. I’m attempting to avoid the gym as much as possible. I hate working out in front of people lol.
  18. Anyone looking to join the fitness bandwagon for a New Years resolution? I maintain my weight fairly well due to my job having me on my feet constantly, but I’m noticing some muscle tone loss and just all around flabbiness. I’m mainly posting here to hold myself accountable for some changes. While I’ll never go full vegetarian diet, I do want to begin incorporating more plant based proteins into my diet and more meatless meals. Anyone have yummy recipes with no heavy sauces and such? I also will be juicing more as a meal replacement (I add unflavored protein powder to it for the calories and of course... protein). I also know it unrealistic for me to completely cut carbs so I’ll be allowing myself one carb serving per day. As far as activity, I’m beginning (again) a C25K routine on Saturday for 3 days a week and a at home HIIT workout for the days I’m not jogging. I think I’ll go ahead and sign up for a late spring 5k to make myself keep it up. I don’t want to go all out in the beginning, because I’ve normally felt burnt out or overwhelmed in the past. Anyone have any pointers or advice to give? Much love to you all
