Has anyone dealt with Selective mutism, or known anyone with it? (me not inclided, since I do suffer from it...) Just curious is all, I'm judged and looked down on constantly.....
I am ex Law Enforcement, and do suffer from acute PTSD, and also severe anxiety disorder due to trauma experienced while I was able to work. There are many factors that could cause or do cause selective mutism. I am starting to come to terms with it, but it can still be hard/difficult at times ButI keep my head up and try to smile and stay positive Again was just curious
Hope everyone is doing well and having a good day/night...

I learned about selective mutism when I was ~20 and it sounds exactly like what I was dealing with between 12-14. I had really bad social anxiety growing up and it got to the point that I couldn't really will myself to speak to anyone I wasn't already very familiar with (naturally my fam didnt know about this since I still talked to them and mental health wasnt something that we ever discussed ;;) It's really tough...I'm sorry that you've been receiving judgement for it. It's not something that you chose and it certainly doesn't make you any less than.

Being a trial member, and a newbie at the game on top of that, I really don't have much to post on the forums. Or even if I have, they're not topic-worthy or discussion-worthy views, so I'll utilise this status feed. Pretty convenient for my purpose, I must say.
So, today I unlocked PvP and its mechanisms, I discovered, were different. GW2 is my first ever MMORPG and PvPs never were my cup of cappuccino. I do not know how many might agree, but I find in-game players scary. They somehow always outsmart/seem to know more than me, and then I end up becoming overwhelmed.
Overwhelmed = mess up the game = DAMAGE
I died so many times today, hopefully it shall be better for me tomorrow--
Eclipse.

PvP can be super overwhelming at first, especially since builds are somewhat different than PvE so you can't entirely rely on muscle memory at first and everyone using weird abilities. It's much easier to manage when you've got someone with you. What times do you usually play? I'd be happy to help out! PvP is much less scary with guild pals!!

Aint it great how google docs saves edit history so you can really see how little your group members are working on the project due in a few days? We've had a whole dang week off and each of them has only edited it once...guuh

I will definitely hit you up in the future for some agony infusion, I also want to add some bigger bags then the 20 slot, haven't really looked up the bigger ones in awhile. I'm new around here so once I get to know everyone a little better I worry about those then
See you in game
-
Well we certainly appreciate any and all donations, especially if you can provide some bigger bags! We're a little more limited with what we can stock in the guild bank so we aren't bleeding gold too quickly. I think it's like a 10g difference between crafting 18 and 20 slot bags so we've been crafting the 18 slot ones.
Once you become a full member, don't be shy about giving me pokes for AR and such!! We are proud to provide folks what they need

Hi Princess,
I finally got my ascended armor finished!
got 9 empty infusion slots and will have my weapons for a few more in 3 days (just need the laurels for the recepies)
Can you send me some infusions in game when you can? excited to be able to finally try out higher tier fractals and start farming for the guild in earnest
-
Congratz on the ascended gear! Hopping on to send some over.

Spacing off during my study time, I was thinking about RNG in life:
What if RNG is effected by your karma in life? Then you could do a study on it where people write down their good things they did in a day and bad things they did. Then there would be a self-made personal chart on how much karma points you gain or lost on it. After you've added your points or subtracted them, you do 3 RNG based rolls, specifically a lootbox type ( see bullets for types) and see what you get and see if is correlates with your karma points. This would occur over 10 days and with a multiple people.
If karma was linked to your luck or RNG, you should get:
- A: The thing you wanted (ex. a special skin that has appeal only to you)
- B: The rarest item (ex. a special skin that is expensive, but might or might not have appeal to you)
This will determine what type of lootbox I would use in the study, since karma could effect personal gain or monetary gain.
Comparing results would be looking at the drop rates of the lootbox and what you have gotten over the 10 days and if they match up or lean more towards good or bad RNG if you had more good or bad karma.
Results would be inconclusive at best, but it would be fun to look at.
Now I should get back to studying since I've itched this thought...

Hey there everyone! I don't know how many of you are going to see this, but I wanted to say I am so sorry for not being online for a little while. Work has just been beating me up for time and energy. I really want to get back into it and spend time with you guys. This weekend I should be back and I do look forward to everything. I am about to look at the event schedule so maybe I can catch you guys during one of those! Thank you so much for your time and company, I appreciate you all and I look forward to doing more stuff, even if I get floored by the game for trying lol.

I have... Had. A. Day.
Barely slept last night then was late to physical therapy, only to learn that because my phone is literal garbage they couldn't get a hold of me three days ago to confirm the appointment despite sending me a letter confirming the appointment three weeks ago so they cancelled it and I had to reschedule
But I tried a new kind of apple today, called "Envy", so I have that going for me, which is nice.
-
Oof, that sounds like a rough one. I hope you were able to reschedule for sometime not too far out!
I've never tried that kind of apple before! Was it good? It sounds like it'd be a green one which makes me think it'd be tart. I think the only green apples I've had are grannie smith cuz that's what I cook with. Whenever I'm peeling them if I get a piece off that's a little thicker than just the skin I cronch um. Chef's snack!
I hope tomorrow is much much better for you!!
