An exposition... Thelesia and I have been cooking up some RP via mail over the past week! She has invited the Remnants of Hope to be part of a meeting with the Kirin Tor this Sunday at 7:00 p.m. EDT! Since I know many people have not been part of the Ravens' War in weeks, I'd like to recap what's going on here: In contrast to the battle last Friday night, this event will be pure RP! So RP-lovers, come on out! This could turn into a campaign for us if we enjoy it!

There is going to be a 25v25 battle in the Blasted Lands this Friday at 10:00 p.m. EDT! Because only 25 Alliance players are allowed to participate, I need to get a headcount of everyone who's interested in coming. If you would like to fight, please RSVP ON THIS CALENDAR EVENT! I know it's a quick turnaround, BUT PLEASE TRY TO RSVP BY TONIGHT! I'm going to be giving Lluagor (the DM) our estimated numbers tonight. Also, please keep in mind that attendance is not guaranteed. It's nothing personal; it's just that we have multiple guilds to please and only 25 slots to work with. If you aren't given a slot, there will be many, many more battles to come that everyone can participate in. Also, I want to be clear that this will not be an RP event. Everyone is allowed and welcome to RP when fighting isn't going on, but the reality is that this event is dedicated to PvP, not RP. Or perhaps it's more accurate to say that we'll be roleplaying in a different way -- through gameplay, not writing. We will be PvPing because our characters must stop the Horde from going through the Dark Portal. I will say this about the battle: I attended the battle on Saturday, and it was incredible. I had so much fun. It's unbelievable the amount of work the team has put into this. So if you're on the fence about signing up, I highly encourage you to take the plunge! THE RAVENS' WAR PEACE TALKS This week, the Alliance's weekly bar night is going to be repurposed into a cross-faction bar night... as well as peace talks with the Horde. Can the Alliance and Horde stop a war in its tracks? Or are they destined to fight to death? Happening in Booty Bay. Bring an Elixir of Tongues! They're in the PvP 'n' RP tab of the guild bank. In the words of the dungeon master, Lluagor... The Horde was vicious, but they didn't do what they were supposed to do, which was make sure the Alliance didn't enter the Blasted Lands. The Alliance succeeded, even if it was in retreat, and now the next leg of their journey begins. The Alliance need to plot their next move. Once again, they will meet to discuss their strategy moving forward. But also ... word is there might be some things of interest hidden in the Swamp of Sorrows? --- --- --- --- --- THE RAVENS' WAR BLASTED LANDS, PART I This will be another strategy discussion RP, but afterward, there will be a bit of a scavenger hunt in the Swamp of Sorrows! The day has come. Not even a week ago, the Alliance forces gathered in Darkshire agreed to undertake a risky mission to get to the Dark Portal before the Horde. Knowing that the Horde are after some powerful artifact in Outland, the forces agreed that it would be much better that such an item fell into Alliance hands, not Horde. Now, everyone is gathering, preparing for their fateful journey. A grimness hangs over the air. Who will live and who will die? Who is the true enemy here? Is all of this worth it? --- --- --- --- --- THE RAVENS' WAR SWAMP OF SORROWS My apologies for the late notice. I'm trying to get events up on the calendar as soon as I can, but now that planning is being done with the entire Emerald Dream community, not just our department, many decisions are being made on the fly. I promise to let you all know everything as soon as I know. Just like our last few events, this one will begin with RP and transition into RPPvP. The first hour -- from 8:00 to 9:00 EDT -- will be reserved solely for RP. So if you're not feeling too hot about the PvP aspect of the campaign, that's the time to be there!

As the group finished their work in Boralus, ill tidings came. Feladris Featherblade, the demon huntress who had only recently joined the organization, sent a message to the Remnants saying that war was stirring in Duskwood. The Horde was ignoring the ceasefire once again. Midna's heart fell. She did not want to quit the Remnants' mission in Kul Tiras, but an issue of this scale could not be ignored. That night, in the sitting room of the building they had only just begun to call home, she spoke with sorrow. "We have much work to do here in Boralus. The people of Kul Tiras are facing hardship every single day. But we also can't abandon our home. For that reason, I'm leaving it up to you. I will stay here in Boralus, and I welcome anyone who wants to stay with me. Rest assured that there are Remnants still in Elwynn Forest who can be dispatched at once. But if you feel in your heart that you must defend Duskwood, you may go." With that, the decision rested in the hands of each volunteer. A boat was prepared the following morning for those who chose to return. Once they arrived in Westbrook Garrison, they were given only a few hours to sleep before Feladris roused them to prepare for battle. The sun is rising. Their journey into the dark boughs of Duskwood will begin soon. --- --- --- THE RAVENS' WAR DUSKWOOD, PART I Thank you to all who voted! The votes were tied at 6 and 7 p.m. CT, so I chose the earlier of the two to give us more time. Plus it just so happens that 6 works out better for a certain... guest. Guys, this is a big deal. I'm both nervous and excited because this is our first foray into the Emerald Dream RP community. This could be the beginning of a fantastic relationship that stretches far down the road! But I want to make sure we leave the best impression possible. For that reason, please please please read the PSA I put up earlier this week. I will not allow you to roleplay with us unless you confirm that you have read it. Also! I would like us to all represent our guild while we're out there on the field. Please purchase the Shroud of Cooperation from the Guild Vendor and transmogrify it to your cloak. This will be our uniform for the duration of the RPPvP event. You can wear whatever you want as long as you're rockin' the Shroud! In our downtime -- when our characters are not battling -- you may wear whatever comfortable clothing your character would wear, but consider putting on the Member's Shirt, too! I will try to gather everyone up a bit early so I can help everyone complete these "quests" before we get going. Oh! And one last thing. I'm tentatively thinking that as this campaign goes on, the first half will be pure RP and the other half will be PvP. It'll be a work in progress, but for now, expect the event to be about 2 hours of RP with maybe an hour of PvP afterward. Alright... now it's time for me to have a panic attack while you all have fun!

Horde Bar Night ... with Random Characters! Lluagor is doing something a bit different for this week's Horde bar night. Roll a trial character, create a random personality and backstory, and come roleplay with a bunch of other brand-new toons! Taking place in the Wyvern's Tail in Orgrimmar at 8:00 p.m. CDT (9:00 p.m. EDT).

The sun has set upon the group's long journey through Boralus. Their feet are tired, but they are held aloft by the knowledge of all the great progress they have made. Now, only one question remains: which property will they buy? Well ... that's a bit more complicated than it seems. Should the group still search for properties around Tiragarde Sound, Stormsong Valley and Drustvar? Moreover, should they not rule out a property like Hook Point just because it's next to a slum? What about the person who will sign the lease? The Mariner's Row property seemed like an obvious choice to everyone, but Midna is determined to make sure no rash decision is made. She intends to hold a large meeting to discuss every corner of the subject they can think of, leaving no stone left unturned. 10:00 a.m., Midna said. The sun is rising. The time has come. --- --- --- --- --- A New Home Chapter III 6:00 p.m. CDT Sorry, my friends! Another week goes by where we can't put the time for the RP up to a vote. There's a high chance I won't be able to attend this weekend, so I need to make sure my Assistants can, and the only time that seemed to work for everyone was Sunday night. So Sunday night it is! Following a rather ... adorable misadventure on the roads of Tiragarde Sound, the group find themselves in Hatherford, a suburb just outside Boralus. The sea-green rooftops of Boralus tower before them, mesmerizing and exciting. They beckon adventure, but Midna Ramstone tells them all to wait. The sun is setting, and it would be best to spend the night in Hatherford -- where beds are cheaper! -- before heading into the city the next day. On a beautiful morning, the Remnants gather in the Hatherford square to begin their journey inward. What does the city hold? Midna has a feeling it'll have more pleasant surprises than just a new home. --- --- --- --- --- A New Home Chapter II Chapter II of the New Home campaign kicks off this Sunday at 5:00 p.m. EDT! That's right -- the RP is starting one hour later than it normally does. I've gotta push it back an hour because I've got something going on at noon. I'm sorry I didn't allow you all to vote on it this week! We've got a community meeting Friday night and I can't host on Saturday, so it had to be Sunday. But Sunday afternoons have been performing well, so I have hope we'll see our familiar faces! As winter turns to spring, parchment-paper advertisements go up on the walls of Booty Bay, and criers roam up and down the boardwalks. "Come one, come all!" they shout. "It's the event of global proportions! The eyes of the entire world will be upon . . . the RACE ACROSS AZEROTH!" ~A HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL Event~ You heard it here, folks! As part of Hope Springs Eternal, the goblins of Booty Bay are hosting their 15th annual Race Across Azeroth! Just as the name implies, the goal of the race is to be the first to run from one end of the world to the other. Come out for some wild, wholesome fun! The race will begin in Booty Bay, but the location of the finish line will not be revealed until the day of the race. Please sign up for the race by RSVPing on this post or signing up on the in-game calendar! Also, I would like to see if anyone is interested in being a shoutcaster! I thought it would be a fun idea to livestream the race for the guild and have two shoutcasters narrate the race as if it were an esporting event. When the Remnants of Hope first sailed to Kul Tiras, they expected the journey to be a quick one. Get in, push the witches back from Falconhurst, and get out. But they didn't expect renegade Horde soldiers to assault Stormsong Valley. The assault made it clear that Kul Tiras is not yet in a state of peace. There are people hurting here. To that end, Midna Ramstone, the Dark Iron dwarf who led the Remnants to Kul Tiras, plans to bring a proposal before the volunteers: the Remnants of Hope should establish a satellite base in Kul Tiras. There, they will stay a while, helping the people of the land as long as peace is not yet guaranteed. But there are still many questions to be answered. Where will the base be? Who is in need of the most help? Do the volunteers even agree that the organization should do this? That's where they come in. This is their chance to provide their own opinions about the future of the organization. What will your character say? --- A New Home Chapter I

Teldrassil has burned. The Fourth War has begun. From the ashes of the World Tree, a new order has risen: the Remnants of Hope. Funded by a board of investors, the Remnants of Hope is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those who have been devastated by the Fourth War. As the war has expanded, so has the organization's purpose. Where once they only helped refugees from Darkshore, now they help the destitute in all places the Horde has touched. And unfortunately, there are many. At some point, you decided to join. Maybe your heart was moved by the agony in the night elves' eyes, or maybe you're just trying to get community service hours after an altercation with the law. Either way, you found yourself here, at Westbrook Garrison, volunteering to help the lost. And the first item on the list? An elderly Dark Iron dwarf, respected among the organization's ranks, has asked you and several other new recruits to meet one night so that you can introduce yourselves to each other. You step over the threshold, wondering what comes next. ... -- + -- + -- + -- Welcome to Session Zero: a chance to meet your fellow roleplayers! This night will mark the OFFICIAL BEGINNING of our campaign! The format will be simple. We will gather in Westbrook Garrison and take turns roleplaying our characters introducing themselves. There will also be an opportunity to introduce yourself OOC. The festivities will kick off on Sunday, December 1, at 7:00 PM ET. As a quick note, I expect this event to run long. I will put a cap on 3 hours, and if we don't get to everyone by then, we'll discuss what to do next. See you there!
