So I come to the interest groups to post about SSBU and what do I find? A thread about it already exists with 2 of my favorite people ever involved! Let’s plan a Smash party y’all!!!

Gym is technically closed and meet was canceled, just like everyone else’s. Meet was supposed to be today. Luckily I was able to get into the gym for a couple hours to do a mock meet. Had a great prep and came into today feeling awesome. Meet goals were 550/375/500(all weight in pounds). Had a great day and went 9/9: 580/375/502.
Squat
Attempt 1: 505
Attempt 2: 530
Attempt 3: 550 (first video)
550 moved super so I kept going and hit 580 (second video)
Bench
Attempt 1: 319.5
Attempt 2: 344
Attempt 3: 375 (3rd video)
Probably left about 10 pounds on the table here
Deadlift
Attempt 1: 455
Attempt 2: 485
Attempt 3: 502.5 (fourth video)
Again I definitely left weight on the table here but was running short on time.
Overall today felt amazing and I’m really happy with how my meet went. My coach did an amazing job getting ready for this meet and I can’t thank him enough. I’m bummed it wasn’t official and it won’t be recorded but not much I can do about it. Time to start thinking about the next meet in October.

Hey friends. I’m coming to the end of the peak for my first powerlifting meet on 3/21. Today was my last heavy squat and heavy pull until the meet. Squat was at 515lbs and RPE 8. Deadlift was 470lbs at an RPE of 8 as well. Bench on Wednesday!
Meet goals are 550 squat/375 bench/500 deadlift.

I’m not much of a runner (done a few 5ks but they feel like death for me ) but I do lift 4 days a week. I have a powerlifting coach who does all my programming, including nutrition. I’m currently on week 3 of my 12 week meet prep, culminating in my first meet on 3/21!
