It has been quite a few years since I last read any of Tolkien for me also.

@Carswell13 I last Riddle Master likely as a teenager.....? I would like to re-read now with an adult perspective. The first time I read Anne McAffrey as an adult I realized how much I missed the first time through as a kid. Now I have read her books so much my paperbacks are falling apart. Might be time to start getting those into my digital collection!

Great list of fantasy books, except maybe for the inclusion of the twilight series....
Theme: Select Books by the Decade - could alternate between Fantasy for July and and in two months do a SciFi from the same decade, could be an interesting discussion if we work the discussion around historical events of that time?
1. Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. Tolkien - (1950's)
2. A Wizard of Earthsea, Ursula Guin (1960s)
3. The Riddle-Master of Hed, Patricia A. McKillip (1970's)
4. Pawn of Prophecy, David Eddings (1980's)
5. The Golden Compass, Philip Pullman (1990's)
6. Elantris, Brandon Sanderson (2000s)

That is a sword I had commissioned by a swordsmith at the Bristol Renaissance Fair who does excellent work. It's a two-handed broad sword, oak grip, with a gold braid twist, obsidian pommel, and garnet inlaid on the guard.

In between Accounting, Finance, and Strategy I am working on Brandon Sanderson's Oathbringer part of the Storm Light Archive.

I absolutely loved Patrick Rothfuss's books, and then I waited, and waited, and waited, and I am still waiting..... At this point, I'm not even sure if I would be bothered enough to buy the 3rd book as he doesn't seem bothered to leave the story unfinished. He seems to have some significant animosity towards fans too. It's turned me off of buying into any series or anthropology until the author completes it first. I want closure! LOL
