Whenever you hear of Altmer you hear of them high and mighty, and hating anything that was not of Altmer blood. This was not so with Valiussa as she knew nothing of her true heritage. her parents worked hard in Aur-El's temple day and night but after a raid by one of Covenant forces, her mother was captured and the captives whom were just took pity on her. Knowing that the Dunmer commander would never let them both go free, Valiussa's mother made a deal. Her daughter's life for her mother's. The noble Dark elf accepted this, and took her to raise her as her own.  However the Dunmer who took this lovely Altmer knew that the Houses would never accept this, so she did the only thing she could do...send her off to work in the temples of the Three of her choosing. Given the fact that Valiussa was saved in an act of love, it sounded only fitting to send her to a temple of Mother Morrowind: Almalexia.

As years went by, Valiussa had a gift of mercy and bestowing compassion on those who needed it. When she was an acolyte she gave succor for people whom other would just condemn to death. At first there was an Argonian who was to be condemned to death for killing a daughter of a Dark Elf noble by mistake. Valiussa was the only advocate this young Argonian had and as such they started a bond between them. And this bond started to grow rumors as how much love and faith this Altmer gave this Argonian, and so many of their kind would often seek Valiussa's help when it came to spiritual and healing matters. Valiussa believed that Mother Morrowind wasn't just exclusive to Dark Elves, but she believed that all races are loved by her. Many Dunmer disagreed of course, even went to the point of calling her 'Mer traitor'. Valiussa didn't care too much attention to the harm the Dunmer did toward her, as they knew while they thought her views were misguided, no one could deny her power of magic of protection and healing those around her. Valiussa in a sense, felt as an avatar of Almalexia and also felt that the Three are best honored by protecting all races of the Pact, not just Dunmer.
