Thanks for the advice, Mortuus!  So far, I've reached Tiger level.  I'll give ranger a rest and check out the other ones and see if there is a better fit for me in PvP

Mostly, I find myself playing ranger most of the time.  I actually have a character started with each class, but I haven't been playing them.  Roleplay wise... I like the idea of a ranger or a druid.  Gameplay wise... I'm not sure.  Some make it easy capturing or taking down opponents.  I guess I don't know how to best play a ranger to do that.  It may be partly the build, too.  What do you think is the easiest class to play in PvP?  Maybe I'm trying to play a class that is above my skills when it comes to playing against other players.  I know mesmer, ele and necro can be difficult.  Warrior?  Guardian?

It looks like TC is "Very High" right now.  Cost about 1500 gems.  I'm on GoM and hoping it will go to "High" since I only have 1000 gems at the moment.  It would be awesome if it was "Low" and only cost 500 gems, but that's dreaming

Hey QuietlyExisting, thanks for the feedback and yes it does help   I'm trying to remember the word that the other player used, but it wasn't meta build.  They said there are those characters that are "hacked" (my word since I can't remember the word they used).  You know those games where they would find a way to give themselves "all powerful" abilities where they had never ending lives and such?  It's like that.  I guess there are bots, and those other accounts that people are using now, which I don't understand why people have to cheat.  I guess they want the rewards without the work?  Personally, I don't get frustrated with losing... sad... but not frustrated like some of the other players.  I'm definitely not one of the ones calling the others "losers", "newbies", "worthless".  I wish people weren't like that.  I know I'm not good, but I keep at it and try to get better.  I may not understand my class like they can or know how to make a build.  I typically use what I find on GodsofPVP or a build I stumble on in YouTube.  I guess I'm more of a follower than a leader in that sense   Anywho, I've been playing the ranked PvP to work my way toward a legendary backpiece.  I think the ones for PvP and fractals look amazing.  I've slowly gotten my way to the second tier of that achievement but hit a roadblock with all the bots and such in the game.  Sometimes I luck out and find a team that works synergistically... course they may be all bots or just be really good... I still can't figure out which like others can.

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am definitely looking for guidance from those who play PvP.  The other day I was trying to get back into PvP.  I enjoy what I can of PvP when not getting smacked down because I didn't "read the room" and became the target dummy of the other team On this one match, I was given tips by a player on the other team on how to beat them.  I was like "this is a trap, right?"  So I asked why the other player is providing this info.  The player said the team they are on is filled with bots and not actual people.  They went on to say that in addition to the bots there was a player with buffs that make it unbeatable.  Sure enough, just one hit was insta-kill.  The player giving the tips said reporting it was pretty useless since you needed proof.

How do you all handle bots and super-buffed characters in PvP?  I was pretty bummed to find most matches like this.  Most of my matches are defeats and players on the team I am on throw the towel in halfway through the match.
