  1. You mentioned running.....   so I'll bring up 'couch to 5K' that I mentioned elsewhere here as well.  

    I am so not a runner.....not a runner's body, etc.    but i came across it and gave it a try.  I actually got up to a gentle sustained jog of 45 minutes per day and I am a size-able guy in my 50's.

     

    Just make sure you check with your Primary Care Provider before embarking on strenuous exercise programs!

  2. I like the buddy system also.  It might seem sort of like tricking yourself, but even if all you're doing is paying attention to each other and ignoring the people around you....the positive benefits are worth it!

     

    If you're generally in okay health.....you should ask primary care provider about programs like 'Couch to 5K'.  Helps to get you outside and can be done with partner.
