I happen to be a very strong fan girl/critter for Critical Role, a show in which a bunch of nerdy ass voice actors play D&D. Watched the first season and am hooked on the second.

Star Wars Galaxies is dead. Long live Star Wars Galaxies: EMU. In 2013, I loaded up SWGEmu and created, once again, "another Twi'lek entertainer," and named her Armeria'Rah. The EMU has come a long way since then, and still going. I had a fit of nostalgia the other day and wanted to try a handful of other running the Pre-CU EMU code. I useda run a guild called The Twisted Tassel, started a city (named by my frand dALilithiel who iz r smrter in Star Wars canon than me) Savareen, became a GL and a mayor. It was great for a while, but real life and some of the community outside of role players wore me out. Just the way it is. I drifted off, handed the keys over to the city, the guild and mayoralship to someone else. Que HUGE SHOCK when I log in and a) the city is still standing there. b) SEVERAL messages from people I don't know THANKING ME for creating Savareen, and , find out my character has a library named after her in the city itself. Well, holy chit. I feel like I didn't really do anything to deserve that but am flattered. Sure, it's "just a game" and an old one, at that. Sure it's just "pixels," but it means something to so many people, this game, and the community that was, and still is, in it. And it means a lot to me. I'm touched. So. While the nostalgia was thick, and while I crawl back into learning how to do teh rp and dances in SW:G again, thought I'd finally do a render of my main and only RP character: Ameria'Rah. Carrie Fisher was more than the braless, spunky princess I came to adore. She was out loud, outspoken, and an advocate for Mental Health that helped shed light on a mental illness that I too, suffer. And show the world she could still kick ass and sometimes be very sad, and go very fast, sometimes both at the same time. And she wrote good.
