Game Title: Welcome to Vilestead System: DnD 5e Software: Fantasy Grounds (free for players, needs download) Schedule: somewhat flexible, likely Sunday AM EST Hello there! I am a long-time Hackmaster DM who has also created her own TTRPGs for in-person groups over the past decade. I am fairly new to online DMing and 5e, so we can go slow together! I have always loved helping people get started in the world of TTRPGs, so this "campaign" will be a series of hands-on tutorials and one offs to get you familiar with the mechanics, all while having fun! Once players have a handle on 5e, I am open to running a more traditional story campaign. My games are always goofy, and very "sandbox" in nature. I encourage people to explore and get up to shenanigans. I don't shy away from dark themes, but rarely make use of potentially disturbing content unless the group is wanting a full evil experience. Feel free to contact me if you have any concerns about the content that might appear. Let me know if you have any questions! UPDATE See my post below (the one with the map) for an update on this game. Some details on style and format have been changed. Thank you!

All right, lets give this a go. Game Title: Candlekeep Mysteries. We'll be playing through three of the low-level adventures narratively combined into a seemingly (hopefully) singular smooth adventure. System: D&D 5e Software: Roll20 (will provide game link once group is filled out). Schedule: Tuesday Nights 9pm EST - Midnight for 4-5 weeks. Session Zero & Adventure Start: March 1st, 2022 Character Creation Sources: Any OFFICIALLY published sources Roll20 invite link: https://app.roll20.net/join/12569254/LbtDTg Adventure Premise: Candlekeep, the famous library-fortress that stands proud as a bastion of enlightenment and knowledge on the Sword Coast. It houses a magnificent collection of books and scrolls of lore, considered the greatest collection of the writings in all of Faerun. However, sometimes the acquisition of these books, or the magical nature of some books, or just the simple possession of these books, can cause problems the Avowed (the librarians) are just not equipped to handle. And while adventurers who've come to the keep have often "handled" issues the emanate from such a massive collection of knowledge, they tend to be unreliable. So in an unprecedented move, the Avowed have decided, on a trial basis, to see if having their own in-house adventurers will help expedite the resolution of any crisis. You, the players, will be the first to test and serve as Candlekeep's "Maintenance Crew". Looking for 3-6 adventurers. If there are more than 6 players interested, I'll run the adventure again with a new group in April. So if the group looks full, still post that you're interested. My name is Mal, and while I've only been with RoH for three months, I've been DM'ing since middle school, way back in the 90's, with Advanced D&D 2e. Pre-pandemic, I was also a local area Adventures' League DM, and a frequent DM for the local TTRPG cons (even did PAX Unplugged one year), so am I very experienced in taking a table of random strangers and running them through an adventure while making sure everyone is having a good time. My table is open to those of all levels of experience. I enjoy teaching new players the game while also challenging experienced players, and yes, you can absolutely do both at the same time. My games tend to be more on the light-hearted side with PG-13 humor. And while I generally stick to RAW, I am not above letting some "Rule of Cool" happen. If you're interested in joining, please post below. Any questions, feel free to ask. -Mal
