The trial ensures you are a good fit for RoH and that RoH is a good fit for you. We have broken it down for you into easy, discrete tasks. The Trial Process consists of the following objectives, which need to be completed in the next two weeks. Trial Objectives: Join the guild in game (an invite will be sent shortly). Join Discord within the first 7 days of your trial. Link your Discord account with your Forum Account Sign up for notifications for departments you're interested in Post answers to the following questions in the Discord #gw2-general text channel Main Character Name: Account Name: GW2 Events You're Interested In: Favorite Festival (In game or In Real Life) (optional): Set a forum avatar. Check out the forums! A couple areas to get you started: Introduce yourself to other trial members in their application thread Strike up some conversation in the Social Party Zone or General Discussion sections Discuss topics about GW2 in the Guild Wars 2 section Post an introduction in your application thread. We would love to get to know you better! This is a separate introduction then your application and questions in the discord. Tell us about yourself! Let us know what hobbies you like, if you have anything fun coming up, pets, family, favorite recipe, whatever you'd like to share so we can just learn more about the awesome person that you are! Who is the GW2 Division Commander currently? Who are the GW2 Department Officers, and what Departments do they head? Participate in 2 events. A scheduled event (check the gw2-info channel in our discord server for the most up-to-date info) Or any activity in game with two other [RoH] members such as fractals, dungeons, map completion. Please take a screenshot of the activity and post to this application. Interview: When you have completed the objectives above, the GW2 Recruitment Department will contact you about an interview. The GW2 Recruitment Officer (RO) or an GW2 Recruitment Assistant will contact you to schedule your end of trial review that will take place on Discord. This conversation will be recorded and provided to the GW2 Officers and Division Commander (DC), allowing them to vote on your full membership. If you have questions or concerns about a recorded voice review, please contact the GW2 Recruitment Officer to discuss alternate options. Reddit post in /r/guildrecruitment 3. If you could travel to any time or place where would it be? To whenever Elite Dangerous style space exploration becomes feasible! 4. Upon joining Remnants of Hope you are expected to maintain a mature and friendly demeanor to everyone in game. What does maturity mean to you and do you feel that you can remain civil even with the nastiest players in the game? I feel maturity is the capability to treat everyone with respect and civility even if it's not being reciprocated. I'm confident I can be civil in all situations! 5. If you could have any superpower what would it be and why? The ability to not require sleep so I could spend more time on other activities 6. Have you been in other guilds before; on this game or any others? If so,what was your favorite and least favorite things about them? Yes, only 2 small ones in GW2 and 1 in ESO. Favorite things are the sense of community and friends to play with. Least favorite things being a non-inclusive environment for certain events/in-game activities. 7. What five adjectives, and 5 only, would you use to describe yourself? Quiet, Mindful, Relaxed, Curious, Patient. 8. Have you ever held a leadership position in a gaming community? Would this be something you are interested in in the future? I have not! I'm uncertain at this time if that is something I would be interested in. Maybe with the right community/game/circumstances. 9. Aside from gaming, what is one activity you enjoy? And what is one activity you dislike? Love listening to music. Dislike yardwork. 10. What are your personal strengths and weaknesses as a person (not in game)? I'm very patient when encountering difficult situations, I don't really lash out or react strongly to emotional situations and can work through problems without getting too stressed out. As for weaknesses, I can be lazy sometimes and have to keep myself from procrastinating or I'll let tasks I dislike (like yardwork..) pile up until there's a lot to do with little time to do it.. 11. Remnants of Hope houses players that enjoy all aspects of the game, Crafting, PVE, PVP, RP and Social. Which do you enjoy the most, and why? So far I'm enjoying the PVE the most (because that's really about all I've done so far !) 12. The servers are closing down in 24 hours permanently. How would you like to spend the last bit of time in game? Replay some of the cool parts of the stories, be social and hang out with people in-game doing whatever really. 13. What other games have you played and what did you like about them? Any games you are excitedly waiting for? I've played ESO a fair bit and some WoW as well. I've also played GW quite a bit before GW2 released! I really liked ESO for the setting and gameplay. Running HM trials with a guild was pretty fun and challenging. WoW was pretty fun to play as well doing M+ runs with a few friends. 14. If you could be any animal (fantasy ones included) which would you be and why? A bird, flying at will seems fun. 15. RoH utilizes Discord for VoIP. Are you willing to use this platform, based on the needs of the activity you're interested in? Yes 16.
