You don't necessarily have to use druid. I get the feeling it's WAY more situational then any other elite. I wonder how well druid with mesh with a spirit build for a more supportish healer. 

Honestly, my biggest critique is... no buffs!  Just healing.  What about regeneration?  ::confused face::  Or... like... protection? Retaliation? 

Guardian gets a longbow and traps... ranger gets a staff and massive heals.  I feel like they're bleeding together in a very confusing way!

Guard never really had powerful healing. For most of the game healing wasn't considered worthwhile as protection, aegis and regen was far superior. It also sounds like you should just pick up some spirit traits and use a combination of spirits and glyphs for your druid. 

Also as far as buffs go, you see the new pets? One gets a smoke field, another gets a lightning field and another a fire field. On pets! You'll have to rely on some pets for regen, and as far buffs you can get quite a few from nature magic line and some spirits.
