Description of Leve: Emergency Mine Disaster and Pursuit of Culprits

Description of Events: 

After an evening of hard labour, plowing soil and clearing rocks, the party found themselves taking some well earned respite before a Limsa sunset. The tranquillity is interrupted by loud sound of a distant explosion...followed by another. Looking out into the distance the Bell and Yui observe smoke a and hurry towards the mines to the South.

Arriving on scene, the chaotic scramble of miners yelling "Gas!" as a third explosion as rocks the ground before them. The party disperse to assist a Serpent Private and Injured miner. Meanwhile Rhin wastes no time and stamps out a tipped lantern dangerously lit on the ground. Aria assists the Serpent who was fortunately not injured inside the blast. While Yui treats the wounds of the injured miner, Icarus queries about miners still inside and the whereabouts of the Foreman. 

The party converge again, receiving 4 crystals for luminescence between them, entering the gate of the cave. Despite the smoke filled cavern and flames of burning pillars, the group prove rather perceptive of the shouting and figures within. Quickly navigating to assist those within. Aria and Icarus rush to help put out fuzes before another explosion is set off. Unfortunately Icarus is not very successful at stamping it out but Aria saves the day dousing the fuzes (and Icarus) with water from nearby buckets. Yui quickly saves a Hyur woman, putting out her flames, lucky to be in thick clothing. Meanwhile Rhin and Bell approach a 'child' only for them to mysteriously walk through a portal after a few strange comments... 

Safe again outside the mine, the Foreman and party begin to ponder how this could have happened. Suddenly a wave of deep purple/red light washes over the horizon; followed by a sickening wave as if eating away at their life. Miners, Yui and Rhin seem to be effected the most at first; not long before a second wave of dark energy pulses. Clutching their heads many collapse to thee ground screaming in agony. Three miners writhe and twist in agony as they transform into Imps and Gargoyles. The Gargoyle lashes out wildly striking several of the party, meanwhile Bell taunts one of the Imps, shortly before the beasts all turn to dust as quickly as they had transformed...

Investigating the source of the pulse the party charge North towards the light. Approaching a glowing cavern the party find the same child from the mine and a taller black cloaked figure. The black masks man faces the party, seemingly expecting their arrival. Summoning an an ashen skinned Succubus from a portal and departing himself, the party raise their weapons for combat. A flurry of strikes hit the Succubus in quick succession; letting out a scream the battered creature is swiftly finished by Aria's final strike.

Hey everyone  

Any civilization fans here? I've been a fan since civ 3 and am happy to play Civ V, BE and 6. Civ V is my favourite by far though 

I usually play modded or with friends now so it would be awesome to get a group going!

(We are in Australian Eastern Time btw)

I also do speed paints weekly on my YT page... I am the traditional Jack of All Trades, Master of None but better then Master of One *bows*

 

I'll be following you for sure, I love connecting with other artist. 

Ooh I'll check it out, yeah I know the feeling  definitely hard to build up the connections and fan base. I still have a lot to plan and think about finding work once I'm out of school. Not as many studio positions available in Australia hahah

@Icarus inktoner/drawtober/31witches all went good, I didn't miss a day but I came close, phew.  It wasn't always my best work though since I was doing everything between commissions and other stuff buy my inking improved and the promost were super fun!  I might do it again next year.

 

I'm also doing draecember too. ^,^ just got today's up and thinking of doing a SELFIE piece for tomorrows.  Just can't decide what medium I'll end up using.

 

And I bet you can do it ^,^ even if it's just a sketch try to keep up, nothing feels as good as finishing the event. 

 

Where are you posting though?  I'd love to follow and see your work.
