I am happy to take a fly about tonight. Any idea where you were at when said Quetz Dragon ate you?

Been here four months now and I have finally built a safe place to hole up. A house in a cave, that with the wall soon finished will make surviving easier. It gets very cold here at night and several times I thought I would freeze to death. Stone is easy to gather about the cave and streams near by. I spend most days doing this and gathering other food stuff. Berries are easy to find all over the bushes of the grasslands. Killing small dinosaurs took some wrangling but soon as I remembered my grand-mere's stories of how hunting in the swamps was done I figured out the best route. Bola with spear then when had enough hides worked out a descent bow. I now have enough berries and meat dried to last several weeks. I think about food about twenty hours a day, how easy it was to drive thru and get what ever I wanted. The food though that makes my mouth water and stomach grumble the most is mostly the dishes my grand-mere made. Beignets, Ettouffe, Jambalaya, Cafe au lait... Funny how I used to worry about gaining two pounds for weigh ins. Now I would kill to gain back the twenty or so pounds I have lost. I thought about exploring more than the grasslands but with so many dinosaurs roaming about, I knew best to be geared properly first. So I have been storing up and honing my survival skills for taking a few small trips to explore. The Air Force training was a breeze compared to living day to day here. I have never been in as good of shape nor as alert as I am now. I do practice and exercise each day but not because I want that next badge or bragging rights, I want to find a way off this island and won't give up yet, I will survive this. The cave is big enough for my new pets to roam about in comfort and safety. Surprisingly not all the dinosaurs want to eat me or kill me. I found a spiky one and he started following me on my berry gathering. Seems he must have wandered too far from his family for he was the only one of his type I have seen. Well I fed him a some berries and he is still following me about. I have named him Spike, for all the spikes on his shell. Next I accidentally found out if you feed the black berries to a knocked out what looks like a Pterodactyl from the movies, you get a loopy dino that soon thinks you are his best friend. Feed him a bit of meat and he follows you around. Not sure if this works on all dinos but will experiment a bit more. Yesterday I thought I saw a dragon in the far distance, really I have to fight off dragons now? After the terror passed and I could breathe again , I did have to admit I wish I was a Dragon Rider from Pern watching it dive and float on the wind. Then went to my cave and cried like a little girl. This could not be Earth. There are no such thing as Dragons on Earth. I might be completely crazy now.... (OOC Always wanting to Roleplay. Just give heads up so not in middle of tame or battle.))

Remnants of ARK - Ragnarok RP I have been here six weeks now and have decided it was time to write some of this crazy nightmare down. I got the idea when I found pages of a journal in the some ruins I stumbled across. Reading across the barely legible writing of someone who looked to be possible ancient Greek, I realized it would have been very helpful to know half of what this guy knew. So here we go. My name is First Lieutenant Tallauh Locklear, USAF Medic. I arrived on… Where ever this is, six weeks ago. Not sure what the date is. With no memory of how I had gotten here or any idea what day it was. The start of a growing list of questions to write down. We had been returning from a rescue mission over the Atlantic near Florida, when the helo started losing altitude then nothing. When I woke, this odd thing was imbedded in my arm and my clothes were missing. The beach was hot enough I hoped I was washed ashore in the Bahamas but afraid it was really Cuba land I was standing on. Within a few minutes of hearing the wildlife bugle out their warning calls about stranger on beach, I realized it was for sure not in Kansas. The air was filled with sounds unlike any animal I was familiar with. I have done some exploring and learned a few things about where I am. Some Known Facts I have learned: We are on an unknown Island with invisible barrier surrounding it. Humans are dropped aka imported in. Each of us is embedded with Specimen Implant in wrist. This can not be removed without limb removal but can be viewed. Death is not always the end. Sometimes we are brought back. Dinosaurs are inhabitants as well. The Dinosaurs are not quite the same as thought and many are from different periods of earth history. Artifacts and Obelisks are on island and look to have been there a while. Survival Drops are made at random spots and times. Someone/thing is watching and/or caring for the island. The science of our captors is way above any current abilities of earth. Unknown Questions still to learn: Not for sure this is Earth No idea how humans are dropped No idea why humans are dropped on island No idea what day/year it is. No idea who or what is doing this or why. May the gods be kind and watch over me so I may see my family again one day. Tally ( OOC Information ) Rules You must be from Earth. Having them and map downloaded ahead of time makes joining for the first time faster.
