More over-exhaustion than anything else. Moved into a new house 2 weeks back and I hadn't given my body a break since. It decided to revolt and auto-shutdown yesterday in protest xD

I have made a decision. At the end of this year, I am going to sever my Facebook account and only be using the Messenger app on my phone. I have thought about this hard and have come to the conclusion that this platform is becoming more and more unfriendly to the average user. Over the past 2 years, I have had to jump through the hoops on 4 separate occasions to either confirm my account, reinstate it, or verify it as a real person and not a bot program. I have been suspended for sharing articles, pics, statuses, and personal thoughts across the spectrum of subjects. I have been reported as inciting violence, for running a, and I quote, “a page dedicated to the oppression of an ethnic or marginal group”, and for engaging in spam postings with a single daily post. I have had my identity challenged more times than I can count. I have for the last few months been disconnecting Facebook from all outside sites. As much as this saddens me, and I will lose an important character page in the process, I must detach myself from this toxic and often arbitrarily enforced terms of service. Too often Facebook has slapped me for a violation that other pages I have reported are cleared as being not in violation. One in particular was the “Death to all Witches” page that outright called for total elimination of atheists, witches, and non-christians. When I reported them, Facebook replied that the page, with graphic descriptions of how to find and kill, was NOT in violation of the Terms of Service. Conversely, I made a post that called them out with the encouragement of defending against such things through peaceful means if possible and if not possible, with forceable defense. MY post was deemed as in violation for inciting violence. When I appealed citing the previous decision, Facebook reiterated that they were not in violation and I was. This was 3 years ago and was the start of the harassing reports and arbitrary enforcement as I could experience. The final straw was November. I made a post, like I always did, once a day citing the history of things that happened, and Facebook immediately banned the post for being SPAM. I appealed, and to this date, the post has yet to be reinstated or any reply given. However, the appeal was closed after 3 weeks of waiting. When I tried to contact them in Twitter, I was not only ignored, I was temporarily blocked. The reason? I was deemed a bot. I had to go through the mess of proving my identity to Facebook to lift the block and release the suspension here. All because I made a complaint about the preferential treatment of certain pages even when those pages were in obvious violation. I am done. The reason I am waiting until the end of the year is to ensure I have my archive from here complete. Hey Talonspryde, sorry to hear this happened to you. Unfortunately, I'm not surprised. Facebook is unequivocally the worst social media platform on the Internet, full stop. Not only are issues like the ones you outlined absolutely plaguing the platform, but it's no small secret that Facebook is straight up dishonest about what they do with your data and they couldn't actually care less. It's borderline devious.
I killed my Facebook account years ago and never looked back -- at this point I wish I had never made one at all, as I know nothing actually got deleted when I deactivated it, but it is what it is. It was by far and away one of the best personal decisions I have ever made. Not only am I safer on the Internet having done so, but I immediately noticed how much happier I was without it.
I hope severing your Facebook account does the same for you that it did for me. I personally think the entire platform should be taken down and that humanity as a whole would be better off without it, but that's just me being me

I have a basic (?) knowledge of C and Java. I've done some project in the early semesters of my undergraduation with it, but programming was always kind of a scary place to me as I never felt that creative or a person that had quick thinking, so I built a wall around it and made the best I could to keep distance of it. But I've been looking to lose some irrational fears (or at least see if this is really not my thing). I plan to play a little with the automation of my bedroom. Simple things at first, really just a thing to get me engaged (And maybe add another language in my resume ). My friend suggested to use Python! I heard of it, but never used it.
People who used/use/know somethina about Python, what do you suggest to newbie such as me? I think Arduino doesn't use Pyton, but maybe I can find a library to use Python with it. Or buy a PI?
I looked into some websites but I don't know, some start talking about the history of programming....I just want some help to start it. lol

Sooo....i must ask this again cuz someone said its a video card thing but idk if its a grave threat or small: My games (WoW and SWTOR) have been freezing and at times doing flickering lights and even turning black screen. Is it something i should be worried of?

I would check to make sure your GPU drivers are up to date. That would be my first guess. Good luck!
