Excellent!!! Which version of Wimsey do you prefer--books, Ian Carmichael, Edward Pretheridge, or some other? BTW Northroyal is looking forward to being an uncle!!! :P

Wow, that's a tough one, because I think both Pretheridge and Carmichael delivered so well on Wimsey, in different ways. I think Charmicheal got the 'front' Wimsey presents to the world, that of a dandy, pampered, connoisseur etc. While Petheridge does that, his genius is in conveying the deeper side of Wimsey, the sensitive, thoughtful, and driven man. Makes sense the latter explores the relationship with Vane, for example. But ultimately, it's the books. Because Sayers was the creator, and no one knows the character like the creator.
