Hellary Ren

I wish they were more accepting about it like my family. Because they call you all online gaming friends and are okay with it. Hellary, I don’t care what your dad says. You are still my online friend and gosh darn it we are still your friend!  Also he should be grateful that you are not out there with the bad people and doing bad things.

I have heard this from my own family myself, and to be frank, I never cared.  Like for example my own Brother doesnt even know who I am or what I personally enjoy doing and thinks everything I do is a waste of time. Same goes for pretty much most of all my family members sadly, they just think I like to be "Alone" where the truth is, I dont belong in there or in the group...

 But then again they are from a different time and era (Family is all from Cuba and Venezuela before the times of hardship or Dictators came)  So to be honest, I feel like im the Little black sheep of the family at times.

 So, dont take what your own family says too hard, it could be worse. Truth be told, I actually dodged Army Life myself for someone I met on a PC game years ago in High school.  You know whats the funny part is??  She still in my life, and im glad to have her there all the way. 

 The point im trying to say basically: Dont take it to heart, and even if they judge, we will be there for you.

First things first, I'm glad that you feel comfortable enough to share this and open up to us about this! 

It's natural that people like family members think like how you have said. A lot of the times, they just haven't experienced this stuff for themselves. However, you're an adult with the ability to make your own decisions so do what you want as long as you think it's right for you.  

Oh and to correct your dad about the "if you're not american - it means that you can't have friends there." Well, you can always just say, Merl is Canadian so whatcha talking about?  

Jokes aside, we're here for you Hellary and we are glad to have you in RoH with us!!!
