Hi Remnants! I'BACK... well not really. Only for around 4 more hours after writting this and 8-9 hours tommorrow.
*i'm sad, that I won't be able to say 'hi' in TS, when most of you online*
Tough not being around the family, but I'm keep going. I'm in topographic troops from this day and going to be the rest of service (one more week and it'll be full month in the military). At least serving not far from home, but I have no idea when and for long I'll be released again. If everything fine, it's gonna be once a month. I hope you all doing well and SWTOR won't close during my time of service. 9.6-

I usually have a very hard time verbally finding the right words to say unless I'm given time to think about it, writing words out seems to be easier. Just remember you are never alone and someone somewhere shares your frustrations, all you have to do is express yourself somehow for support

So, ehm, sorry I need to throw this somewhere.
My father came into my room today a few minutes after SWTOR's SMOPs. He loadly expressed that I can't call people friends, if "you don't see them face to face and can't be next to you". Said that "if I'm not american - it means I can't have friends from there". Blamed me for mandatory year in military delay. "This is virtual people - not real. You just know them, but they aren't real."
I'm very sorry for such a depressing status update.-

My parents used to say the same thing. And then I married a guy I met in an MMO. We have an adorable 4-year-old daughter. And my parents changed their minds about "internet people." Now, that's not what always happens... just saying. Have some patience with your parents but be your own person and make the choices that are best for YOU.

My parents used to be that way as well. Growing up I had a lot of IRL friends but nothing beat my friends I made playing online. It wasn't until I went to a little meet up my group of 15 had and we all got to hang out in person did my parents realize that they weren't just "online" people I spoke to but they were actual people. Those guys are my best friends and whenever one of us gets married we all plan to come to that wedding no matter what is going on.
Hellary don't stress over what your dad says too much. We all are one big happy community and we all are proud to call you our friend.

Everyone has said anything I could say even better, @Hellary Ren
Unfortunately many who have not experienced the bonds created in online guilds, especially one such as ours, have difficulty in comprehending those bonds can be as real as the face to face friends we have. Both are very important and fill different needs. I have seen how close you are with Neo, Merliah, many of us, and I would, by any definition, count that as true friendship. And I would suggest that separate countries and different cultures only make your online friends even cooler. An old maxim is that one must travel to truly open your mind. That's kind of what we do now, developing relationships with people from all over the world through RoH.

You know, at first I wanted to write a very sad status update about how I feel and with 'hints' on what's the problem might be --- but no. That won't help. What I really want to say to myself and to anyone who has a lot of bad stuff coming at you in life - you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. You will get thru.
And I hope, with all my emotion filled heart, you will always find your moment of happy.

Just a bit of not-so-sage wisdom here.... Everyone is going through some sort of crap all the time. We should just band together and support everyone in all things they do. One person's load of crap feel a lot lighter if friends are helping carry it--even if everyone else has their own loads....strength in numbers, etc.

the way i see it if they say your not a true star wars fan they are only saying it cause they are not, and are trying to rile you up just ignore negative comments like that

How's my PC building adventure going!
Basically, I have two builds, that my PC building friends suggested in my budget, one being without Windows 10 (the advise from a second friend is to pirate it).
I don't know, if there's a big down side for that, so help me out and overall judge these two on how it was presented to me.

Yeah, I was thinking on adding a Windows 10 to the price, just buy it later. My budget roughly translates to 915$ from the currency of where I live. №2 friend was quite critical of №1 and insisted that's the best it can be in my budget.
I'm from Russia, so it's quite hard to ask about these things, but still want to make sure from different views if possible. -
I'm not super up to date with specific components but I'm excited for you building your own PC! I build my first one a couple years ago and will never look back. I pirated windows for my build, it's a pain in the butt. I will buy it out right for my next build for sure. I also notice, in both your build options, that you only have 1 SSD for storage, 512G and 240G, in my experience those are going to fill up FAST. I would suggest a 1TB HDD to supplement your SSD, you can get HDD for very cheap these days.

When building a computer I'd always recommend intel. AMD has gotten better but intel seems to still handle games better. I know like if you plan on Emulating game consoles like the Nintendo 3ds intel does that well. but AMD suffers. That's just an example. I have no experience with Ryzen so it might be worth it. My last amd computer was built with AMD FX 8350. It still plays games today but not as many. I use my intel laptop for gaming and other things these days. My intel laptop was 800 bucks when i got it this past year. Plays everything from Kotor (2003) all the way to Mafia definitive edition which just came out a few months ago. As for windows Hellary i never buy it and I'm fine. I say if you can find windows 10 cheap go for it otherwise pirate it. 100 bucks is way too much for am os. But most of this is opinions or from experience. Good luck buddy.
