Chapter 1: Discovering the first Remnants

 

 

“I think we should at least give it some thought. We must do something. There are only three of us. We cannot take on the galaxy ourselves”, Morgona said as he paced in his ship addressing fellow masters Vilak and Daryos.

“Yes, it has been some time, but we cannot teach without students. I’m not sure if you noticed, but we live in a ship and go from system to system. In this day and age, there are less and less force sensitives, and no safe harbors in which we can teach them!”, retorted Daryos.
 

Vilak walked away to the bridge to monitor communications and navigate the ship in open space. He listened in the distance to the two masters bickering back and forth. “If those two spent as much time cooperating as they did yelling perhaps we wouldn’t have to live on this blasted ship”, Vilak thought to himself.
 

In the time since coming together for the cause of galactic relief, most of the master’s time was spent on a defender class corvette, traveling from system to system providing protection, support, and whatever aid necessary to the number of ransacked systems in the galaxy. Many worlds had been affected by the galaxy wide invasion of the Eternal Empire. Trade routes cut, both the empire and republic crippled and the Jedi Order forced into hiding left many of these affected worlds in desperate need of help. This became the goal of the masters, Morgona Ulfwe, Vilak, and Daryos Valenkar, to travel together from system to system aiding worlds in the absence of the orders and government who were in no place to oversee themselves, let alone the worlds they once claimed.

For days now Master Uflwe and Valenkar had been arguing back and forth of the future of their group endeavor. The masters had stretched themselves out thin with only three of them. Their own resources were limited, and they couldn’t be on all the worlds who needed them. It had been brought up that in order to continue their cause they had to begin teaching students in the way of the force with the traditions of the Jedi. There were several gaps in this tentative plan, primarily being a lack of students, lack of a temple, lack of safe space. The list went on and on.
 

“The galaxy is still full of force sensitives that need training. Think of the potential. All those waiting to be taught but no one to teach them! What if the Sith somehow recovered to the point of going out and finding these sensitives themselves? We must make an effort to help train the next generation of Jedi!”, Morgona shouted.

“I’m not disagreeing with you; the need is there and there are those who need taught. You aren’t being sensible. Where would we teach them? How would be provide for their needs? Clothes, food, medical supplies…not to mention where would they stay? This ship can only hold so many bodies.”, Daryos said trying to remain calm.
 

As they continued to exchange heated comments on the subject, the holocomm panel on the bridge came to life displaying a priority one message. Vilak turned in a hurry to accept the incoming transmission. “Hello, is anyone there? *static* This is Knight Sayuri Yuki broadcasting on all Republic frequencies *static* is anyone there? We’re trapped on the surface of Tython *static*I’m here with a group of padawans and initiates *static* we require immediate assistance! Is anyone the-...".

The blurred transmission cuts out into static. Vilak tries to bring the transmission back up but is unable. “Hey! You two get up here!”, Vilak yells into the rear of the ship.

Morgona and Daryos sigh to each other and walk to the front of the ship. “What is it Vilak?”, Daryos said in an exasperated sigh. “Another supply run to some outer rim colony?”.

“No, listen”, Vilak says. He proceeds to show the transmission to his fellow masters who look upon it in disbelief and urgency.
 

“Did they say where they were exactly? Coordinates?”, Morgona asked.

 “No, no coordinates. Regardless, we need to get their fast.”, said Vilak.

“Get us there as fast as possible. We will get ready to disembark”, Morgona and Daryos seem to say at the same time, finishing each other sentence.

As Vilak pilots the ship into the core, jumping to hyperspace, Morgona and Daryos get their equipment and armor ready. “It would seem that the force agrees with me on this Daryos. There are students in need, and they need us now”.

The organization that Morgona operates ICly isn't affiliated with the Republic or The Empire, or any other political/theological faction. Military personnel that Morgona utilizes for combat support and security would be contracted, by which I mean that he hasn't requested the official military support of the Republic military or Imperial military. Former or current affiliations are fine, but they would not be employed by Morgona for their affiliations or organizational ties, he would employ a republic soldier, an imperial trooper, and a mandalorian warrior all the same.

Military personnel would be combat support and temple security. Technically, they would be contracted as to not be affiliated with either the republic or empire.

That would be up to you, as both are important to the story. It should be noted that in-character standards for masters is higher than that of initiates and padawans, so it's important those who want to RP as a master understand the context of the character and expected demeanor and behavior as related to lore.

In trying to further develop this RP, and make it accessible to both factions of RoH I have also included an option in the poll an option for a cross-factional RP in which RoH and VoS would both be involved, and would each have their own respective force users (RoH=Light & VoS=Dark). What are everyone's thoughts?

Backstory:

Morgona was born on the planet Chandrila to parents Ana and Zer. At the age of two, he was taken from his childhood home and brought to the Jedi Temple on Tython where he spent the next twenty-two years training as an initiate, and eventually becoming the padawan of Master Umadara Floku. In his training, Morgona specialized in lorekeeping and archive work spending his time collecting information from across the galaxy with his master, and studying them for the betterment of the Order.

 

Shortly after his twenty-fourth birthday, Morgona was brought before the remnants of the Tythonian Jedi Council and knighted as a Jedi. From here, Morgona began his own personal journey across the stars traveling across all of Republic space to gather relics and ancient texts tracing back to the origins of the Jedi. His journey is cut short too soon. Within a year, Morgona was recalled to the temple on Tython to become part of the Republic's response to the ever growing aggression of the empire. For six years, Morgona spent his time traveling between ever changing battlefields, leading troops, carrying out missions on behalf of the Republic army, and pushing back the Empire's advance.

 

Over his time being involved in the Republic's war effort, Morgona always took notice of the lives touched by the war he was fighting. With his focus being forced on violence for the greater good, Morgona took part in continuing the war for what he was told to bring it to a quicker end. Morgona stopped believing this as true, and began to focus his attention on the residents of the planets that the Republic's war affected. The year Morgona turned thirty-one, he returned to Tython and formally left the Jedi Order. Feeling that the Jedi were complicit in lengthening the war and in the deaths of those caught between factions.

 

After leaving the Jedi Order, Morgona traveled to the distant outer rim and built a home for himself, eventually building a relief operation in which he could carry out his new mission as a Jedi. Through the duration of the galactic war to the initial invasion of the Eternal Empire, Morgona traveled between the core worlds and the planet of Prishardia, where his project was centered, bringing displaced refugees and providing them with shelter, clothes, food, and medical attention as they planned for more permanent housing away from the war.

 

In his travels, he found himself on the planet of Dantooine trading for supplies to bring back to Prishardia. During his time on the planet, he felt what he believed to be an groundquake, but soon after was overcome with a wave of physical pain and fatigue as he felt a large disturbance in the force. In an effort to discover the root of what he experienced, he traveled to an Alliance base, using their recourses to analyze the information he took from his ship sensors. It was here he first met Tahlie Santi, a chiss woman who claimed to be an alliance representative who was discussing the events that lead to what he experienced on Dantooine.

 

It is here that a new chapter in his life began, one that he had not anticipated would ever present itself.

 

Personality:

 

On the exterior, Morgona would appear to be a stereotypical Jedi: Emotional Apathetic, calculating, Diplomatic). He has always been a person of compassion, even as a Jedi. During his years as a Jedi, Morgona became more and more concerned with the citizens of the galaxy affected by the ongoing war. He also began to believe that the Jedi were complicit in the continuation of the war with their view of, “We are fighting to bring the war to a quick end”, while ignoring the lives of the people affected by their actions. This led to his eventual departure from Tythonian Jedi Order. Taking his sense of humanity and concern for those affect by war, Morgona established a relief operation on the outer rim of the galaxy, away from the conflict and tension that left many parts of the galaxy in disarray.

 

Shortly after the galactic invasion of Zakuul and the Eternal Empire, Morgona converted a section of his base into a training center, endeavoring to train up a new generation of Jedi to aid the galaxy with a focus of relief rather than justified warfare.

In developing this RP more and more with the help of @Vil @Rall & @Junlar, I have decided to see what type of RP would be more preferred by those who are going to get involved. Currently, the RP arc as it is planned it going to be a mixed theology RP, catering to both darkside and lightside force users and variations thereof. Alternatively, it can be made poorly jedi RP that focuses on jedi lore and canon only. Is there one that is preferred to all of you? Please answer in the poll above. As far as the story itself, it'll be between the signing of the treaty of Coruscant and the invasion of Zakuul. As far as characters personal stories, they can start where they like. This will not center around traditional jedi training that starts as young children, but rather training for force sensitives at any stage. If those who wish to get involved like, they can come in with established characters or go back as far as they like. I would like to make this RP arc as accessible as possible.

Remhops! I am looking to begin a new RP story arc centering around force user training. It is current being written, and lore posts are in the works to create a background for the RP itself. I am looking for anyone who would be interested in helping to form the RP, write, or help create the lore posts.
