Thank you everybody for your patience!  I was thinking of keeping this Saturday a little more casual than usual, but if you want, here's some stuff that would be useful in group:  Stamdens with sub assault and permafrost, healers with purge, magicka users with proxy det, anybody with >= 22k HP for survivability.

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that I'm suspending Strike Team until the end of Midyear Mayhem.  This event is supposed to be oriented around competitive play with small to medium groups; however, currently the environment in Sotha during Midyear Mayhem isn't conducive to that.  There are just too many people running around in too many zergs that we can't reasonably fight for any length of time.  That being said, the Mayhem groups that have been going on will take Strike Team's place.

Hope everyone has fun with Midyear Mayhem!

So this reminder is a little late and for that I apologize.

Unfortunately last week there wasn't much going on in Cyrodiil around our usual operating hours but hopefully things will be more lively this time.  At the start of the session I'll be doing a quick recap of some PvP techniques I've talked about previously: movement, siege, etc.  Let me know what you're planning on bringing below (it's not a sign-up; it just gives me some idea of what the group comp will be like beforehand).

I've mentioned this before but I'd like to bring it up again:  What is y'all's opinions on coordinating gear and stat setups for people who regularly attend?  If there's enough interest I might look at using one of the Strike Team sessions to sit down and have a theorycrafting meeting about it in the TS.

@Ennuigo Probably stick with Frost Tank or MagDK with some roots and stuns for now.  If we get to the point where we're setting up full group comps for Strike Team then Stam Healer rapid spammer would be more viable.

This upcoming strike team will start be recapping some of the advice given during the last event.  We'll also talk about some other topics such as the roles of DPS, Tanks, and Healers in regards to the raid.  I'm going to be working on getting out a written recap of last event's advice for everyone to read over on their own time if they wish.  Hopefully that will be out before the next event.

Let me know below you plan on bringing to raid!  We could use at least two healers, a CC tank, and good AoE-focused DPS, but feel free to bring whatever you think is fun!

Hey everyone!  Just wanted to link you guys to the last Strike Team announcement since it contains some blue text that you might wish to read:

The plan for this upcoming Strike Team event is to spend some time walking through the in's and out's of some of the more intermediate/advanced PvP techniques that aren't presented in any of the in-game tutorials and that may not be self-explanatory.  I'm planning to cover topics like movement, line of sight, and the three main PvP roles and how they fit into organized group play.  I'll also spend some time discussing minor tactics/calls that I'd like to implement.  When I find myself with some time I'm going to work on writing up some forum posts to explain all of these for people to read on their own time.

I would also like to encourage everyone to share their thoughts on anything related to Strike Team:  tactics, builds, crown calls and places where crown can improve, taking crown and leading groups, etc.  I'm still developing my skill as crown, so I'd like to thank everyone for their patience and support while I lead these death marches through Cyrodiil.  If anyone ever is interested in spending some time as crown, please let me know!  It can definitely seem intimidating to be at the front of the pack, but just remember that everyone is just here to have fun and enjoy themselves.

Further, I'd like to hear more activity in the Strike Team channel on TS.  Battle Comms are only in effect when crown calls for it, so feel free to chat it up in the meantime!

Lastly, if you find that Prov's Team Formation is hard to use since it does crowd the UI a little bit, I would recommend trying out Yet Another Compass by Sordrak.  It just places the cardinal directions around the reticle at the middle of the screen, which is extremely helpful.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to apologize for the infrequency of forum reminders for Strike Team.  I've had a busy end of the semester but with the last day of class having passed and having only one final exam, I can finally start to get back on track.  I aim to be putting these reminders out every week around Tuesday or Wednesday.

With that being said, I do want to let y'all know that I'm going to be working on further improving Strike Team over winter break.  One of the big things I'm looking at implementing is an optional sign-up sheet/post that's just going to allow me to know what the raid setup is going to look like before the event starts.  Secondly, for regular and willing attendees of Strike Team, I'd like to look into the possibility of role assignments beyond just "healer" and "control tank."  Since Strike Team takes a more competitive approach to open world PvP, having people specifically assigned to roles like "rapids spammer" or "purge spammer" will greatly benefit the group.  This could also extend to coordination of gear sets.  All of this can be handled in the optional sign-up, although it might be prudent to set up a meeting to discuss all of this for those who wish to run regularly with Strike Team.  A bit of group theory crafting never hurts.

Lastly, I'd like to remind everyone that I'm always available to answer questions regarding anything PvP related.  Just PM me or tag me in a post on the forums, or whisper me in-game.  Also, if I'm online and in Cyrodiil, don't be afraid to ask for an invitation to join whatever group I'm running at the time!  Sometimes Discord voice chat will be required, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, but beyond that it tends to be more relaxed.

I'm glad you had fun, man!  I'm not usually a huge fan of IC but last night certainly was fun while we kicked derriere and took names.

Sitting, listening, and watching is how I started learning, but nothing teaches better than accidentally killing the entire raid with enemy oils a couple times by mistiming the rush to the D-ring.  If you have any questions just let me know and I'll help out where I can!
